Forget about the rain or wind. it is crazy dark here in Jamaica. I would think it was nighttime if I didn’t know what time it was. Insane.

I don’t know what’s going on out there, there is no advisory or anything, but we’re having multiple issues with trees down and power lines down on the LIRR. FYI

Had a nice line run through while I was dropping the family off at the outlets in Deer Park. It was absolutely pouring for about 5 minutes on the way back to the house. Luckily, they got into the theater before it started. Beautiful early evening sun, might get a quick dog walk in.

Ok, another game for her this morning and it’s 43 and still freaking raining. You’ve got to be kidding me lol. Took us a good half-hour for us to thaw out yesterday.

If any of you weirdos claim this weather is nice or whatever, I was at my older kids soccer game and it was outright miserable out, about as cold and wet as I’ve felt at one of her games in years, I will find out where you live and choke you with my bare hands. Funny thing, I played at 8:30 this morning and it was fine.

People can weenie me all they want….its been like this since late November, I’m friggin sick of it. Forget the chilly weather, I’m sick of this stupid wind. I’ve been playing when I can this winter but my first Sunday game is this weekend and it’s supposed to be 45 high with 25-30mph gusts. ENOUGH lol

I played pickup last week at the Baymen Fields in Sayville. We had enough space to have a nice 7v7 game with Pop-up nets. But, then again, we are sickos. Another week of this (and rain) and I’m guessing we’re playing next Saturday again.

Had to make sure the wife got out okay and had to drive my older kid to school, it’s about 10min away. Go to work in about an hour and a half. it’s finally stopped, I’d say another 3” this morning, was not expecting that.

I’ve been on the clock since 1pm today and am not expecting to be released until Tuesday at this point and am definitely getting fomo reading this thread when I’ve had a chance. Got out and walked to the west end of the Jamaica station platform and it was a sight to behold. Looking over the tracks to the west of the station was insane. Swirling winds, snow just sticking to everything, felt like a real life snow globe in this shithole of all places. So windy, there’s snow accumulating on the platforms. Wanted to take a picture but it didn’t seem smart to pull my phone out in this weather. Definitely sucks to not be home and be at work, but can’t pass up this kind of pay.

Believe this or not…I got referred to this forum from another dude from a NY Jets message board of all places…you guys nailed Sandy from the beginning and I started lurking on the regular after that. Lurked until Isaias when I officially became a member (literally lurked almost a decade) and now I still keep the talking mostly to people who know more than me (no matter what some poster’s biases’ may or may not be). Because as much of a geek my family, friends and co-workers think I am…I got NOTHING on like 98% of you. Still…I never thought my biggest kicks on this board would be you all living and dying with each model output and then declaring a model great or crap depending on what bias you do have. It’s fantastic and speaking for myself it’s utterly enthralling (and occassionally hilarious).
