Yeah it started snowing just after 2:00 and lasted until around 4:30, we did get another brief burst of snow around 6AM though.

Yeah we had a decent amount of white rain, plus some virga beforehand here (RH was around 20% for me when the decent radar echos were starting to reach the south shore). Amounted to maybe just under half an inch here.

I ended up with about 3.2” of snow last night here in Lindenhurst, rain has been light too so it hasn’t really melted too much either

Under lighter echos right now in Lindenhurst and it’s 34/32 with 100% sleet at the moment. About 1.5” of snow on the ground

Roads and cars completely covered here, probably around an inch OTG, still snowing pretty heavily in this last batch before the dry slot

snowing at a good clip here now, I’ve legit doubled my snowfall total for the season already lol

43/26 here on the front lines in Lindenhurst. Wet bulb is about 35. Farmingdale only a few miles to my north is 5 degrees cooler at 38

I’m surprised there was no Wind Advisory issued for today. I’ve seen them issued before for weaker winds than this

Down to 11.6 here, winds are gusting 35-40 mph.

We really haven’t had an interesting event since the Christmas arctic front that moved through, so it’s kind of par for the course at this point…

It seems we all had highs of 16 today on the island

Here in SW Suffolk, the gusts associated with the LLJ peaked 50-60 mph in a brief window from 5:00-5:30 AM. They died down once the convective showers moved east. Then after the cold front from between 2-9 pm we had frequent 40+ occasional 50+ gusts for a good 6 to 7 hrs straight, which was honestly a bit more impressive due to the longevity of it (plus the massive temperature drop) I’ve been bottomed out at 8F for about 2 hrs now, about a 50 degree drop from this morning, still getting gusts in the 30-35 mph range.

Down to 9 here, 49 degree drop since this morning for me. Winds are still gusting 40-50 mph too so winds chills are between -12 and -16

Down to 15 here as of 7:00 (I meant to post this an hour ago), 43 degree drop now from a high of 58 this morning.
