The story, as I understand it, is that someone bought the original Eastern server. He had it for a while and kept it active. But he passed away at some point. I think Ian and others know the full study.

Morning was rough, but what a great mid-afternoon Fall day.

Kid got her first shot today. Awesome that in three weeks she’ll be fully vaccinated and the rest of us will be boosted.

Yeah, happy here. Helps that it has been extremely sunny this week during the peak. The sunsets with the tree color have been fantastic.

Record was 78. Made it to 76 at IAD.

IAD only 3 off the daily record. The record for the 7th, 8th and the 10th were from last year. So, a few more degrees and we have a 2020/2021 sweep over the 4 day stretch.

Had a deer in the same spot this morning, but I figured I didn’t need to spam the board. Especially with those tick-carrying, vegetation-eating vermin. Almost 60. Looks like a great week.

The Vikings lost this game on 2nd down after the pick. 2nd and 8 and everyone in the building knew the ball was being handed off to Cook. The coaching is abysmal. I don’t know if they fire Zimmer mid-season, but he is a lame duck either way.

Posted yesterday about the frost difference by altitude. Same shot today, with a guest. My freeze will wait for at least another week.

Almost comical at this point. 35.6 for my low. Even DCA in the river went lower. I know I talk about it occasionally, but the elevation/cold air drainage/inversion thing is amazing. This is my frost-free backyard with an extremely frosty soccer field in the background. The difference in elevation is ~30’.

I think it’s almost all elevation/inversion. The stations that aren’t on the Tyson’s “ridge” were down in the 30/31 range. The ones that are were in the 35/36 range. When I walked down the hill to drop the kid off at school it looked like a different world, and that is like a block away.

A frosty 36.0. I’ve been running parallel to DCA this week.
