  1. Goerge, George , George.... I admire your enthusiasm. However, 40" for Boston? 4-6" per hour band that lasts 6 straight hours? Although it is not impossible, I dont think this is the storm to do this. I'm just trying to bring you down from that cloud in the sky. Trust me... That optimism I'll is amazing and you should never lose that, but I'm saying this to you so you won't be disappointed after the Storm is over ( trust me, where I am in central Ct, I would love to get under one of the heavy bands that sets up ), but again, staying real here as I know our chances for that are low. I'll tak e my 12" and be very happy here. You should take your 24" ( and possibly a little more ) and run with that! ;-)
  2. Pretty helpful here in Plainville that will do fairly well with about a foot of snow. That is not too shabby in my book. What I do know is there will be at storm that will give us our two to three foot totals again sometime in the future. When that is I have no idea LOL
  3. I still have a question regarding the 10:1 ratio. Wouldn't this be more like 15:1 with the temperatures? In essence it would bring the numbers up a little more with the accumulations
  4. Is anyone else mentally exhausted lol. Well that run of The NAM help better. I did say earlier that Bernie rayno always talked about the windshield wiper effect especially when you're within 30 hours of a storm. I think I'm in a good spot to have a decent good size snow storm. I think it's 12 inch snow storm here where I'm at is a good number
  5. So what you're telling me is there's no way that the models will just bring it back a bit again at the 18z? Just got back and forth so much that I feel like I have vertigo LOL. Not even start until after midnight so take this afternoon to run have the euro and say that we're definitely cooked is ridiculous. I can still see a foot at what is showing right now where I'm at. And I'd be absolutely happy with that oh, but I would also say that it's not a done deal that it could not still be 12" to 18" or 12" to 20" still
  6. Im not so sure about that. We need 35 mph for 3 hours ( amd we will have all the other criteria met )... Its possible ( although, even if we don't, it will still look like a Blizzard ). All good either way.
  7. First of all, if you even want to say Western fringes maybe slightly affected.. Then we're talkin back in Eastern New York. At this point Connecticut itself is pretty much locked into Where We Are as far as accumulations. I'm so surprised that the fear of things changing drastically are that much of a concern LOL. At this point these slight little changes mean nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if this afternoon they go the other way, and then go back the other way again tonight. We're getting what we're getting and there will be some surprises good and bad. So just enjoy what we're getting because we weren't getting any of this a day and a half ago. ;-)
  8. Yes, there and also Long Island, except for for Western Long Island. I wouldn't be surprised if they extend these blizzard warnings through most of Connecticut may be stopping around Litchfield County
  9. From where we were a few days ago, anyting in the double digits is exciting. With that said, I'm not going to be too concerned today with small fluctuations. If you look at the name, there's room in there for it to still go back what it was last night oh, he's our little nuances that will happen now since we're so close with that said, I'm just west of Hartford by 9 miles oh, so I'm going to stick with being between 15 and 20 in. With that said, if we get stuck under one of those crazy bands, it could be quite a bit more even where you are. That is still an absolute possibility. So I would just say sit back relax and enjoy this awesome shower about to get
  10. Honestly, at this point especially with a model like the NAM or some of the smaller models, you're going to get these Bumps and Jumps back and forth within the models search for 15-20 hours from the events. I think everybody I've been through so much with the way the models were going over the last several days that we just need to take a breath and enjoy the ride. This is going to be amazing
  11. It's amazing looking at this map how similar Nemo is looking to the name and Euro outputs. This is going to be fun. The only difference I do see is that the snow will extend down to New Jersey and Delaware more and bump back into Pennsylvania
  12. Hey.. You are.goimg to have a great storm too! It seems you're disappointed. I think one of the storm gets going in the winds crank up you're going to be quite happy as well. You're part of this dude. :
  13. Looking like a GFS is really exploding once you get to New York and Southern New England. Totally moving in the direction of the euro in the damn. I'm sure we're going to see it correct even more through tomorrow. I didn't think it would correct completely to the euro tonight but what a difference it has done already
  14. Now THIS should change make things even more interesting. My other half said he didn't think this was happening.... I told him " I'm the biggest weather geek out there, how did you not know what was happening with me constantly on this blog for the last several days " lolol. My 8 yr old was like... Dad... I think you want to marry the Snow ... Hehe
