  1. We're done that as far as the next round goes ...we got our snows this morning
  2. Im wondering how far west we can get the precip to go in round 2 this afternoon? This morning was a nice surprise. A solid 2" here. Ps.. I refuse to shovel as well..lol
  3. Strange how they left hartford county in CT out of the WWA?
  4. I'm sitting about 10 miles west/southwest of Harford. I'm hoping to be in that possible snow growth area tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
  5. It does make sense. You are right near the water. I mentioned that when I got home at 4:30 it was still 47 here.... It is now 35. Your temps will drop. Just behind and also climo is a different animal where you are.
  6. Kind of curious if NWS will put any Winter Weather Advisories up for SNE?
  7. Kind of a baseless claim. This is not going NW ( well..there is Always a chance, but it is so small its not worth banking on )
  8. Well, as much as I am succumb to the fact that this winter is probably going to be not such a hot winter for most of us Central Southern New England and the tri-state area. Except for those areas along the coast I got the big snow, most of us have been below average. It's fine, but, can't rule out a big storm to up our totals to normal or even just above. You just never know. Once we get to the second week of March I pretty much write everything off and it's springtime for me
  9. Was a lack luster Winter thus far here. Not sure we see any major shifts towards a change to more a more Snowy winter. Although there were many places right on the coast that saw record snows. I would look to next year at this point for a good winter ( but I wouldn't rule out a few surprises though ).
  10. Ok..so down at the High school here in Plainville.. The temp is 43. Up where I am on the side of the mountain in Plainville ( aprox 500' ) it is now 35. So temps are falling. I think things will start icing up by around 10 for sure
  11. Yeah.. The same here. Was strange how it dropped..then rose again now?
  12. That's odd, because now we're down to 38 here in Plainville
  13. Temp here is now 39.0.. I have a feeling we will be at the freezing mark super early in the morning. Colder than I had expected at this hour
  14. Actually.. Its fine. We clean everything up to reload for when we get a new snow pack. You're like doom amd gloom. Lol
  15. Thank god. I need Friday to be wet.. Not icy or white.
  16. Please don't happen. Man you're an odd dude. Lol Seriously though.. We are bringing our girl who is 17 to the Vet to help her cross the Rainbow Bridge. It's been time for a little while..and we scheduled it for next Friday ( I just need the Weather to hold out until after 2 as we have to be in Somers at 11:30 ). It's gonna be a rough week.
  17. Some of you guys are too funny... you guys are as erratic as the model of our. I'm not worried either way. We got rain we get rain, when we get snow we'll get snow. Something will happen again before the winter is over. Plus, we're just too far out from then to worry about it at this moment
  18. I don't think fair for the Bridgeport not that much. My sister lives in Fairfield and she said maybe 10 or 11 in
  19. I myself am enjoying this. Looking at the radar we have a nice band running right through here just a tick west of Hartford. And looking at the radar you're still plenty of precipitation coming up from the south. Okay, get that some of your upset that we're not getting two feet or more in Connecticut, but it's still a great storm with the Wind. And there are others getting a massive amounts how do you say. I totally agree that we should just enjoy what we're getting instead of wallowing in sorrow LOL
  20. I'm thinking we have about 4 in or so here. And was really picked up now in the last half-hour as we're under a moderate/heavy band that seems to be strengthening. Long as it keeps going for the rest of the day I think will do well
  21. I haven't measured yet, but I'm in Plainville not too far from you and it seems about the same out here. Looks like a true winter storm kind of day. Happy that's going to go throughout the day. I'll be happy with 6 to 12 in I'm hoping to be at the 12-inch Mark though. Just need some moderate bands to stay through here which I seem to see on the radar. It looks like the dry slot is Jest to our west in Eastern Litchfield County
  22. Goerge, George , George.... I admire your enthusiasm. However, 40" for Boston? 4-6" per hour band that lasts 6 straight hours? Although it is not impossible, I dont think this is the storm to do this. I'm just trying to bring you down from that cloud in the sky. Trust me... That optimism I'll is amazing and you should never lose that, but I'm saying this to you so you won't be disappointed after the Storm is over ( trust me, where I am in central Ct, I would love to get under one of the heavy bands that sets up ), but again, staying real here as I know our chances for that are low. I'll tak e my 12" and be very happy here. You should take your 24" ( and possibly a little more ) and run with that! ;-)
  23. Pretty helpful here in Plainville that will do fairly well with about a foot of snow. That is not too shabby in my book. What I do know is there will be at storm that will give us our two to three foot totals again sometime in the future. When that is I have no idea LOL
