  1. Happy New Year's to all. I'm out of covid quarantine today!!! Good start to the new year already ( but this weenie wants a big fat snowstorm ).
  2. Um... It's like rinse and repeat. 7 days out and some people are riding the latest model run like it's going to happen just like that. lololololol. Some people will NEVER learn. Lol
  3. It's way too early to go by the NAM model. I wouldn't even look at that right now till we get closer to the Saturday time frame
  4. Fair enough. The same goes for me. I did get heated, I am a little pissed off that I'm quarantined and we brought our eight-year-old home yesterday to live with us permanently. Things can be a lot worse I know. I apologize to you as well
  5. And this is a perfect example of what I was saying. My post was to make a point on the way we should go about these things and not to pounce on others. You torch tiger are definitely one of the antagonizers. You don't come on here with any positive feedback. You come on here to dig into people, and twist at night. You are definitely one of those bullies and you really shouldn't be on here. So take that and stick it where the sun don't shine
  6. Well, I guess it's time to write off this winter. It's over. Things are not going to change. Whenever I try to stay positive I just get stomped on. I do not wear Rose Colored Glasses amd I'm not an idiot. Weather's been a hobby of mine for my entire life. I don't claim to know everything, but it seems like a lot of you and here are meteorologists and professionals ( or at least act that way ), and there are select few that at super cocky and think they know it all. So with that said, we'll look forward to next winter. Staying on here doesn't seem to be doing any wonders since Winter is over. Does that about sum it up?
  7. As long as we have something to get us through the next rough patch, it will at least keep some people barely afloat LOL
  8. So you really think we are done after a few good weeks?
  9. For some reason.. You can't post pictures ( won't allow anything over 1.95 MB ) which is pretty much everything? Lol
  10. I heard ....shows 2'-4' for the northeast. Do you have a map to post. It's kind of exciting because it's within 7 days out.
  11. 27 also -zr. Things are a glazing up. Just hopeful it melts before 1... Have to drive to Simsbury ( all back roads ). Christmas dinner. Ps.. Merry Christmas
  12. I have to give it to you Kev ( and apologize ). This little train that could delivered some extra goods. Happy here to, although not 2".. Maybe just over an inch.
  13. Was up at 1:00 and was snowing.. Was just starting to dust the ground. Up again.... Everything is covered. Id say about 1/2". Looking at the radar.. We have a lull overhead, but that next batch is fast on it's heels. Could end up with 1" to 1.5" when all is said and done.
  14. Although climate change is having an impact on weather patterns, I think we're putting way too much emphasis on what's happening right now in relation to climate change. There are also things that will happen regardless of climate change. Things have happened a hundred years ago where we've gotten a warmer pattern and I'm sure not much of any snow. Case in point, look at the West right now. Very cold and a lot of snow, and they've been in that pattern for a while.. So we can and will get episodes or stretches like that too. It may still happen this year ( and may not ). The point is, we will get a snowy and cold winter again. They're not dead and gone.
  15. Well for now, we can live vicariously through the Western part of the US. You're getting some historic snowfall and super Stormy Weather. It has to flip to the east at some point.
  16. I have a lot of hope that things will change. I know I posted a response to Kev with my disappointment in his attitude, but, I do understand there's a lot of frustration. I also realize that I don't need to feed into the negativity respond in such a way either so I deleted my post in response to Kevin. One thing I do know is that there will be something that will come up that will bring everyone together Smiles on everyone's faces and give us something to look forward. That is never failed us and will happen again.
  17. The positive about this is they really need this to build there water supply ( and that snow pack will surely do that ). It is something that will ease historic drought conditions for a lot of Western folks.
  18. I agree. Just dont like getting called out from kev. Trust me... I want the big guy snowstorm like the rest of us. It will happen though.
  19. Just as I said. Where's the 3" amounts you were saying? Dont call me out asking for models or maps when you are over emphasizing what we will see. This map shows ... AT BEST 1-2" and only in some areas even if we see it. Just saying man
  20. Boy .. Deja Vu. Didn't this happen last year? Models showed a change early on, but it kept getting pushed out. Finally, we saw that change in February. So.. If we can get our average snowfall of between 40-50 inches in CT.. That could give us some nice snowstorms close to eachother.
  21. Whit calls for coating to an inch. Wtnh calls for coating to 2" at best. Wfsb calls for coating to an 1" ( chance of a locally higher amount ). I'd say 2" might be a very random and few amd far between amount. Saw nothing about 3". But.. Not opposed to a surprise. "
  22. There's going to be a lot of desperate comments on here, at least until we have something that looks promising for at least a decent snowfall. At this point, looks like we wait until after the New Year. Enjoy the holidays y'all. It will Snow, that's for sure.
  23. I'm fine with whatever happens. When and if we get that surprise snowstorm, or that pattern shift it'll be exciting. Life is good regardless. There will be an awesome winter ahead, and God willing I'll be here to see it.
  24. Guys... I'm really hoping for that pattern change. I do believe it will happen. Just not as fast as we all thought, but when it does make that transition, boy look out. On a different note... I felt the need to share, we just found out today that we were chosen to give a beautiful little 8 year old girl a forever home with us. We've grown very fond of her over the last 6 months and now she will call our home her home for good! Now That's what life is about ( oh.. And she loves the snow as much as I do, score!! )
