There's always that chance that we just stay cold and dry for the month. But as we all know, things could change in a heartbeat. Look what happened with this past storm. Earlier this week it looked like we were going to have a pretty good event for most of the the area, but it trended away. The same can happen with something upcoming where a storm could way offshore and out to sea but could trend back to the West. Point is, we wouldn't be here if we didn't believe there'd be something else. If nothing else, most of us are here to getaway from our everyday lives. We may joke around, some of us get on each other's nerves, but we still come back.

I know how much you put into this. Don't beat yourself up, as much as we think we see what's going to happen, the atmosphere has many tricks up its sleeve. Plus everyone appreciates all your input with your analysis. Don't let this one get you down, there will be another that will work out. Sometimes checking out for a bit is good for the soul.

I agree. And this winter has quite a bit of time left in it. So there's definitely more opportunities for something. I think the mindset is when we have something comes through that gives us all the goods, we want more. But unfortunately that's not what happens, at least not right away.

Don't go there man. It is what it is. Plus, it's not too common to have back to back big Winter storms anyway. It's that same game every Winter. We're not suppose to see days and days of Snow, just not what is common for our winters around here( although it can happen yes ). The good news? February is still looking great for the possibility of storms as we have more cold air pumping in, so don't give up.

What is happening with these models? They truly aren't making any logical sense?

Like last time when. This last storm we just had? Not sure what you're getting at.... Give me a good reason why I shouldn't be giving up on this storm.

I'd be surprised if any parts of Connecticut are in it. Maybe there's a chance in the far Eastern Southeastern part of Connecticut. But this thing has just been trending further and further away. I'm not being negative, I'm being realistic. I want this as much as anyone else. But sometimes you just have to call it. If I'm wrong then I'll admit to it

I think you need to let this one go. Tomorrow is Thursday and it's supposed to happen this weekend. Everything has trended away ....everything. and just for the record, I'm not bitter about it at all. It's just the reality of it.

I really think we're pulling strings to get this storm to the New England area. I can see it affecting far Eastern New England, but things haven't really been bringing the storm closer and to give most of the region a good storm. If by some chance it makes its way back towards the coast in the next 2 days, we'll all rejoice. But, I'm going with a miss at this point for at least our area in Connecticut. Not concerned, there will be more

Blocking seems to have gotten better on the Euro at 18z. Trending in the right direction

Well.. it's over.... Bernie Rayno now believes this will only affect far eastern New England.

Funny... GIL Simmons from WTNH has been touting the Canadian model as his favorite for the last few storms ( he mentioned it had done the best in his opinion )... So I'm curious what the CMC showed as far as it being a hit?

Not sure if this will trend back West. It's possible as it's only Tuesday. We just had an amazing storm, and I think we're all grateful for finally getting something that we all were able to cash in on. But I'm not going to lie, I wouldn't mind having a blizzard this weekend ( or next )
