That's not true? I'm just west of Hartford about 12 my miles. When we get Miller B's at redevelop off the coast, we've gotten walloped, and I mean walloped. Miller A's can be amazing come but they can also draw in warm air aloft even more so. If I'm not mistaken, we've gotten some of our biggest snows from Miller B's that had redeveloped offshore. So them being only Good for Eastern New England is not a true statement or fact

Like I said, instigator ;-) To be frank, I don't even care if it didn't start up until late January. All we'll remember is if we get a really good stretch of some storms and cold. So if that means one full month, I think we'll all be very happy about that. By the way, December hasn't started yet. FYI
-
Hahahaha .. such an instigator. Lol Change or not... We'll see see some exciting things through this Winter.
-
Lol .. geez. I should have looked at what I wrote. I am not tanked..lol. I was just half asleep when I made my post. Thanks for letting me know. Haha

Hope you all have an amazing Turkey Day. No matter what the weather.. This is a day to really appreciate family, friends. ............ OK .. who am I kidding. I would rather have had a surprise Snowstorm and had to travel through the storm to get to my families house ... ( I'm sure I'm not the only one who secretly felt this way ) .... Hehehehehe

I can see where there can be a lot of confusion and weariness with these posts. If you read back over the past 7 or 8 posts, a few of them are saying it's now getting pushed back on cold and snow won't be here until the end of the month of December, where a few others post a map showing the cold and blocking happening very soon. Soon. It is very confusing and I must have to know what's going to happen and who's right. It's all about surprises. We will have them. They will be some good surprises and not so good surprises. But we will have good things happening in December.
-
Lolol.. yeah... NO! REMEMBER... I'm not the one melting down constantly. Just making a suggestion.
-
Any way you can take a hiatus until about December 7th. That way if you come back it'll be fresh and let me know worries. You'll be starting from scratch

Typically with 2 weeks of tranquil weather we tend to see the opposite happen after. Kind of follows suite with what the models are showing. Trust me, 2 weeks will pass like nothing.

And finally, I got him to be quiet! It worked. Haha

Oooooo .. I'll whip you if you have a nice butt! In all seriousness. When you are constantly negative Nancy, it's gonna be hard to engage with you when we do have that epic Winter storm. Trust me man. I am as big of a weather weenie as most in here, and I do get frustrated and want to throw the towel in early. But, I have to many good things in my life to allow the weather to take me down. I know I joke with you... But trust me... I feel your pain.
-
Kevin... Are you a grown adult or a teenager... Asking for a friend?
-
Hey Man, since you have an in with the devil, maybe you can take one for the team and fondle his weenie a little bit, that way he can lay off the heat and we can get our big cold and snowy December and maybe January. Just figured I'd ask. ;-)

I used to buy it on the line and try to react or respond to these ridiculous comments that seem to always pop up every year around now. I've realized that doesn't really do much lol. Just par for course. Looking forward to what this winter brings regardless of what it is. That's why I come on here every year.
-
Lol .. ya know... You talk a lot about weenies ... Is there something your not telling us? Lol Anyway... Put on your big boy pants.. pull them up and be patient. Once we get that first big one.. you will be the first weenie at the front of the line. ;-)
-
Lol .. Lord help us. Drink more beer. You'll forget all about it.
-
Yes exactly. We bought the our house in early September 2019. I remember taking pictures of the house with all the wreaths and decorations. It was that first year. Thanks man!

I would love to see Snow in my Birthday 12/3. I believe two or three years back, we had a good storm on my birthday for the day before. It was a big sleep fast and then it turned to snow. We had about 12 inches where we are.

Man.. I couldn't agree more with you. The problem is some of the people who post are way over zealous and it leads to unrealistic dreams. I too knew that the chances of something Wintry was a big stretch. What people fail to realize is it is still early ( to early ) in the game for the majority of SNE to get a big Snowstorm. My mindset typically becomes more engaged and getting bigger snows when we head into second to third week of December and on. The other issue is the models and the discrepancies between the American model and the European model. There are always changes, but sometimes you get agreement that sticks within a week or so of an event. Again, there are people who just live by a model run. Anyway, I agree with you are post and hope others will read it and pull back a little. But that's a stretch lol

Its like the movie Groundhog day with some of these comments. Can't wait for that one storm that gets all their minds off the doom and gloom lol. I find every moment to be fascinating even when it's boring. This is weather, this is what it's like. Hasn't really even begun yet and some people are already calling for it to be over. It's comical
-
You are right. I do remember when we get those storms that almost seem gone, and then all of a sudden they're back. Later December through February. I love when that happens though. Everybody gets on the train and the excitement level is through the roof. It's a great feeling. May not happen this time, but I know it'll happen at least once this winter.
-
No disrespect people. I'm not sure why any of you are making any kind of forecasts lol. Yes we have an idea what could happen in the setups that are coming up. But like every other year, we have changes that happen within a week. Why the hell are any of you saying we're going to get something next week or not? You all know that we've had storms appear out of almost nowhere within three or four days of the actual event. And same is true with storms that have been on the maps for one to two weeks that don't come to fruition. The point is, no one is correct on here. No one's to blame on here. Let's just enjoy the weather and see what happens. I'm actually laughing over here reading some of these comments . People really do live and die off of a model run. Still.... Love you all though, that's why I come back every day in the winter. I'm as big a weather geek as anyone else on here.

It's funny how my local met completely changed the forecast 3 times in 3 days for next weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if it changes again. That's what happens when we rely heavily on the models ( or a particular model ).
-
Lol.. and it starts again. I banging it all on something happening next weekend. Climatologically, it takes a lot to have us get a really good storm at the end of November ( when it comes to snow in southern New England ). It does happen and we've had them, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't. We all know it's a numbers game game and there's going to be a lot of model runs that will show storms. And as we all know, maybe 25% of them come to fruition... if that.

Patience my friend, it's coming back up your way. I'm looking at the band over the lakes and it's starting to pulsate back north and they said it will definitely go back north this evening and tonight. You'll get a lot more. I'm so jealous lol I jokingly said to my 9-year-old, let's take a road trip. She was like. Like yeah let's go. Love this girl
