  1. Listen. I have Three Brothers. Trust me, my brothers have a lot of fun with me and I do with them. I love the light-hearted stupidity. Feels like I'm home. And let's get a damn snow storm going or something
  2. Lol.. I'm just laughing at myself. I'm married to a guy, and I could care less about all the m*** jokes. I just like messing with Kev. Because he always talks a lot about milfs..lol. I'm here for the weather just like the rest of you guys.
  3. Um, I'd be careful what you say. Kev. Some of us actually might like frontal dilf nudity. Just saying ;-)
  4. Oh George.... I love your enthusiasm ( and I wish you were correct ). But, although I always appreciate your optimism and positive take on everything ( well everything Snow and Wintry ), I think you should pull back a bit ... Otherwise you are going to be very disappointed. Trust me, as a seasoned Weather weenie, I know when and how to pull back my excitement. I've been around this block MANY times ( and trust me..I wish I was wrong and you were right )... But it's just not going to happen the way you are hoping...at least not yet.
  5. Date I say you were on to something...uugghh ( I hate to admit it ). Hopefully we do see some changes before Christmas. If not... Other than being disappointed.... Winter is not lost ( I mean the first official day isn't until the 21st anyhow ). It just feels like forever because it's freaks have been at this since late October..lol
  6. Boy . How I'd love for this to happen, but has the Canadian ever been the correct model with a storm ( had it ever beat out the other major models? )
  7. Trust me, I'm very excited about when the change will happen and when we get our first big snow event. If it doesn't happen this month, it doesn't happen this month. For all those that are freaking out, take a look at what's good in your life. We were able to adopt our daughter this past May. Those things are the reason why life is great. So if we don't get snow so be it. It's weather ..it will change
  8. Ha.. no man. I'm in plainville.. but right on the Farmington line.
  9. Never thought about the distance.. but just checked it out. I'm 37 miles to New Haven. Guess that's not so bad.
  10. So with the ECM and the GFS being in completely different camps, who do we trust and who do we lean towards. Did GFS did not do a good job with the upcoming storm for this weekend. It had it far north and now it's making its way down to meet the ECM and other guidance models. In the long run who has done a better job with the pattern, that's the question. Are we going to melt, or are we going to freeze? Can't wait to see what happens haha
  11. Ya know Kev .. in all fairness... No one has the answers. As far as a pattern change.. the general consensus was a change Mid month ( around the 14th-16th time frame ). Now there are moments where it look like it might be earlier , but that time frame is pretty much been with the thought process was. Don't give up your faith, you've been doing this like we have for a long time. , So things will change, and so are your mood. ;-)
  12. I think our chances are much more realistic for that time period ( Although there are some slight chances still for some snow before the end of this year, and I do hope it happens on Christmas ). You know there's going to be some pushback to your statement as far as the possible change for January, but again, climatologically, it makes more sense for us to have the higher chances of colder and snowy weather for January. Anyway. I'm just waiting for the negative Nelly's to start posting lol
  13. Man.. why are you stirring up controversy. At least 40/70 Benchmark brings some facts and puts in the effort on what the models are showing. Wrong place to come at someone who is probably one of the more grounded and brings factual posts to this forum. When you have something that explains your reasoning to differ..than post that, not insults.
  14. I will say, the funny thing is our Mets were actually calling for it to be a pattern change next weekend. They had temperatures going into the 30s for highs here in Connecticut. now they have them them back up into the 40s into the following week ( although this has went back and forth over the last week and a half with the forecast showing cold and then not as cold and cold again now not as cold, so I wouldn't be surprised if this changes again ). We will eventually get snow and cold, I'm confident of that. But this is an odd pattern. It looks like it's a perfect setup, but some delays keep pushing it back a bit. I think that's why there's so many meltdowns and freak outs.
  15. There's a few that have been leading the pack with this pessimism. I honestly and truly don't care if it doesn't snow until after Christmas. We don't truly get our winter weather going until January or February and even March. Our biggest snow storms ever have been in those months. Less common to have them in December. I would love to have some snow by Christmas. That would be awesome. But am I going to crawl into a hole and die. Am I going to keep on talking about how horrible this is and how I told you so and how I said that I knew this was going to happen and the pattern wasn't going to change. Or that It was going to keep getting pushed back. No. Those of you who have been saying that can keep on torturing yourselves lol. I'll be ready when that big one comes about.
  16. Oh boy, I love how these crazy inconsistent model runs are just shredding some people apart lol. I'm sure as we get closer to these events, they'll be some surprises. Some will be good and some will be bad. But things are a changing that's for sure. Oh, and for those of you jumping off the cliff, we'll have plenty of ropes to help lift you back up :-)
  17. You know, I'm not sure lol. I've been a snow waiting since I was a little kid, and I still feel like I'm a little kid. Sometimes. Sometimes I wonder if anybody else feels the same way I do, then I found the forum. Our chances will come hopefully soon. Thanks so much by the way
  18. Happy birthday to ya.... I'm hitting 51 tomorrow! The best we can ask for is a nice Snow Storm soon! Lol. Hope you had a great Bday man
  19. You know what would be great, if we could just jump to December 11th. Then we'll all feel more comfortable with what outcome we're going to be seeing four days later.. lol I think everybody wants a definitive answer on if we're getting a storm, if it's a large snowstorm, if it's a miss to the south, ect... The problem with some of us on here is we wanted an immediate answer now, and we take every single model run as if that's going to be the final outcome. Things are changing, but it's still going to be a week or so until we know for sure... Patients little grasshoppers
  20. Did someone mention 1960? We had a Snowstorm that hit the mid Atlantic through New England on December 12th. High Total recorded was Newark New Jersey at 21 in, but it was commonplace to see anywhere between 12"-17" from Philly right up through Maine.
  21. I will take either, but of course I prefer the first. Beggars can't be choosy, you may not get either. But this is fun to track. This is why I love the winter time. They may not all pan out, but it gives us all something to track and get excited about.
  22. I do see the similarities between the pattern that would be setting up to pattern in 2010-2011. But, it does seem that the pattern back in 2010/2011 seem to push a little further south. Just by a little. So the hope is the storms don't get deflected to the mid-atlantic only. But time will tell. It's still very exciting to track what's coming and I love seeing that we're all discussing this in a positive way.
  23. Well said. Looking back on most Winters... We typically do not see blockbuster storms or long stretches of cold and Snow until after the holiday. That is a fact. However, would it be nice to have a December to remember or an awesome wintry lead up to the end of December? Sure! But as you said, it is early. I couldn't agree more.
  24. I think we know who seems to be having the meltdown over a 2-3 day delay. Lol
