    We are at the “get your car off the street“ phase in Carteret already. Emergency alert just came through for flooding. There are already pockets of flooding, but people are reacting sooner than usual this time. ETA: over 3 inches here

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a * Flood Warning for the Raritan River At Manville. * From late tonight to Friday morning. * At 4:15 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 4.4 feet. * Flood stage is 14.0 feet. * Major flooding is forecast. * Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 20.8 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning. The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a * Flood Warning for the Raritan River At Bound Brook. * From late tonight to Friday afternoon. * At 4:15 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 17.5 feet. * Flood stage is 28.0 feet. * Major flooding is forecast. * Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 34.1 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Friday morning.

    The wind is starting to pick up here that’s for sure. Few drops of rain here and there, but it looks like conditions here are deteriorating rather quickly. A bit more ominous looking out there right now.
