    Nope, Sandy made landfall in Cuba as a CAT 3.

    Wind swept moderate to heavy rain. Hoping it lasts at least a few more hours.

    Looks like landfall is coming near Atlantic City or Brigantine island. Cannot remember the last time a tropical cyclone made its first landfall in NJ.

    Finally getting tropical conditions here with pouring rain and enough wind to make the trees move.

    Looks like the city will be dry slotted within the next hour or so. Hoping that the band moving in continues to intensify. Has really been pouring here but nothing overly crazy. And then we wait to see what happens with the rain to our SW.

    Not sure why everyone is expecting all that rain in Eastern PA to just die there. The storm is moving North at a decent clip and will take the rain NNE with it.

    Signs of somewhat of a firehose developing on radar rotating generally towards the city.

    Quite a bit of dry air has wrapped in the on NE side of the circulation.

    The next band is intensifying as it rotates in from SE of the city. I expect a lot more of these bands. The storm motion is only 12mph so it's going to take awhile for the dry air to come in.
