  1. Has anyone asked him why he never posts here anymore? Presumably too busy?
  2. The northern edge of the steady rain is into Baltimore and the center is just making landfall. The trough is ventilating the storm and surging the moisture northward.
  3. Slightly stronger storm, slight tick East, stronger winds make it further inland.
  4. Yeah it wasn’t modeled to be severe, just the beginning of much more to come. Its probably on the verge of being a Cat 2.
  5. Thinking rainfall is underdone. All that rain in VA and the interior SE is non existent on the mesoscale models except for the RGEM.
  6. It’s a combination of the trough and moisture streaming north from the hurricane. PRE.
  7. 18z RGEM nails most of the area with lots of rain. Near Hurricane force winds for the SE NJ coast as well. Waiting for the rest of the run to load.
  8. Depends what's more exciting to you. 4-6 hours of torrential rain and some gusty winds or 4-6 hours of severe wind, some rain and a few tornadoes. I'll take the second option.
  9. You cannot expect models to pick up on the nuances of what's going to happen. Either way, with the center passing overhead or just West, we've known for awhile the biggest threat was the wind, not the rain.
