    Finally broke the mark and hit 29 degrees here. Thought I was going to be in the 20's about three hours ago.

    The official forecast calls for freezing rain and sleet to linger into the evening. If they had closed schools at say noon and the temperatures were a degree or two colder it would have been a big mistake.

    You're right it's no the same thing. Point is the HRRR still has about 0.3" of QPF coming. Expect precip to linger for the next several hours while temps continue to fall up here.

    Yup, you're right. The only areas this forum covers are CNJ, NYC and LI. And the HRRR lingers precip for at least the next 5-6 hours.

    Half the forum is already below freezing and has been. The freezing line is pushing South into NE NJ now.

    Wonder if that dry slot in E PA is going to fill in. There’s one elongated LP off the NJ coast and another one in VA.

    Rockland County isn’t well N&W. You can see the GWB from the Tappan Zee bridge on a clear day.

    I stayed home. The rain isn’t going to taper off till late this afternoon. Roads couldn’t be pre treated and temps will only drop from here.

    It will end up being too cold down that way but still the GFS kept insisting this would be siginificant and it will be up here.
