  1. Hope this is a sign of a good winter. Like 2009 - 2010 level good but a bit colder.
  2. At noon today it was 52 degrees in Garrett County and nearly 90 degrees in St. Marys County. In August.
  3. River levels are low which can be good for fishing as it holes the fish up. Hoping to hit up the Monocacy this weekend. Also...DCA and BWI notch another 90°.
  4. Convective temp on the 12z IAD RAOB was 93° and we're hitting the 95-97 degree range regionwide. Should see more stuff start to pop,
  5. The cells just west of Moorefield, WV and north of Forks of Cacapon, WV look healthy.
  6. Yup. Reminds me of August 2016.
  7. DCA and BWI appear to have both notched 95° today.
  8. Looks like a cell popping up in Charles County along some kind of surface convergence. Quick uptick in CG with it as well.
  9. I just managed to get a copy of AWIPS II to work on my laptop...just in time for some woostorms
  10. August heat is always the biggest heat. We seem to consistently seem to overperform.
  11. It's 97° at BWI, Warrenton and Manassas. Southern St. Marys County at 96°...probably could use a heat advisory.
  12. Yea I'm in New Windsor at the fire department and it's all been to our south.
  13. Legit light show just to my south.
  14. 43kts at ~1000 ft over Point of Rocks
  15. Yea me too. I wonder if that's to account for forward propagation along the outflow boundaries?
  16. Tower shooting up near Winfield and Libertytown...just saw two nice bolts of CG.
  17. Nice little outflow boundary just moved through. Then it got dead silent again.
  18. Just warned for Frederick, Loudoun and Montgomery Counties until 9:15 pm: https://inws.ncep.noaa.gov/a/a.php?i=37857685
  19. It's riding an outflow boundary probably won't last another 30 min, but yea I can see the lightning from New Windsor.
  20. you might want to email [email protected] and let them know. They've been issuing warnings in areas with few people so the information will help with their warning verification.
  21. The 97 degree reading at Westminster doesn't seems to weird now:
  22. 97 at Westminster and at least 96 at DCA.
  23. SVR now on the Baltimore City cell.
