    starting to mix a little here on the south shore of Staten Island.

    almost a whole inch less than you 5 miles to your south east here in Great Kills, sitting at .29 for the day. This past cell only gave a few drops and missed the south shore.

    south shore is getting the heavy rains from this cell.

    Power went on and off. Lots of thunder and lightning, some of it close by. Torrential rains. .86 fell in about 20 minutes

    3.29, so that's about 1.35 inches in the last hour.

    2.75 and counting now under this latest cell. More thunder and lightning strikes in the area. Probably going to be close to 3 inches in 3 hours with a little lull in the middle.

    finally starting to let up after 35 minutes of torrential rain

    It's insane. I'm sitting in my mailtruck with 4 blocks still to deliver in the Arden Heights section. Its been thundering and lightning non stop for the last 40 minutes and absolutely pouring buckets for the last 15.

    we had a trace down here on the south shore til the skies opened up 5 minutes ago.
