  1. .82 and counting here, just had a nice rumble of thunder from the back end.
  2. They'll learn real fast once they get their way. Personally I wouldn't mind permanent DST with my job. I'll get rid of all the packages before sunrise in December and then have plenty of time to deliver the mail before it gets dark.
  3. 97 down here in DC as I’m about to go roast at Nationals Park
  4. This is right up there with Boxing Day for me. Eyeballing pictures from my parents house and they look very similar, probably approaching 30 inches.
  5. 8 inches measured at 10:30. Halfway to my 16-24 inch call for my backyard.
  6. Almost 6.5 inches here keeping up the inch and a half rates for the last 3 hours.
  7. He will be puking something else at that rate.
  8. 5 inches here on Staten Island. 3 inches in the last 2 hours, so still at a 1.5 inch/hr rate.
  9. 3.5 inches officially 5 miles to your east, 1.5 inches fell in the last hour.
  10. Just went out and measured 2 inches.
  11. This storm will put everyone who wasn't already above average there for the season, including Central Park, provided they don't wait til next Friday to measure.
  12. In 24 hours, we’re going to have a KU storm heading towards the benchmark
  13. Love it when the NAM does a line of powder and then pukes it all over our screens
  14. Everyone will be rating this an A+ winter in 48 hours
  15. Now thats a classic Nam’ing. This storm has had everything so far, including being lost in the mid range by half the models
  16. Can’t wait to get Nam’d in the next 24 hours
  17. After 12z runs on Saturday. Storm is still very far away
  18. Agreed. I’ll throw out a Facebook post after the 12z runs tomorrow if at least 75% of the models/ensembles are still showing the storm as a “lookout Sunday/Monday for something” without overhyping it. I’d probably throw in daily updates after 12z runs everyday and wouldn’t even throw out a first call on amounts until after Friday night’s 0z runs. If you call for a foot of snow a week out and it ends up being 45 and sunny, then no one will take you or your posts seriously on social media
