I was just thinking about 2001. Can't believe this was a bigger event for S VT/W MA mtns than that one was. It certainly seems that way based on the reports from that storm. Obiously that storm was more widespread and included a lot of lower elevations but specifically for that area it looks like this eclipsed it.
2001...
What town are you in? From what i remember it's Holliston right and you have family there on winter hill? What was the final where you're at.
Here's the reports from the NWS-72 hour map, the highest i could find in Mass is 36". I think thats the max unless someone saw a higher report out there?
(Also that 43 in Beacon NY is obviously an error, not sure how that snuck in there)
Rain with wet snow flakes mixed in here and there. 37.
I agree, in terms of frustration and wasted potential its the king of all rats. In terms of snowfall im doing ever so slightly better than 01-02 with that metric. But subjectively, its the worst.
i know how you feel, trust me. Just a trace here with rain and white rain all day. Ive had enough. All these storms and potential for March and i have nothing to show for it but 0.0"
this will change A LOT but heres a preliminary map based on reports so far. The reports are from varying times so take it with a grain of salt.
Ill do a full map when its all said and done and probably one for CT/MA/RI with that new map i made for SNE
Yep, i use the same link for bufkit. Thanks for the info, i have a suspicion that Max Temp in Profile is Kuchera. I check them all just never knew the difference between the different cobbs. Seems the number represents the year of release of the papers for each method according to Oceanstatewx.
Do you know what the difference is between Cobb 5 and Cobb 11? I never really understood that. And which one do you use in bufkit?
They also have "Max Temp in Profile" which sounds similar to Kuchera or essentially is the Kuchera method? I know Kuchera uses a formula based on t-max in profile
Rain with some wet snow mixed in but mostly rain.
@Hothwent up Hamden at 550 broken arrow and I measured 1.0" with moderate snow, roads were slushy. 0.0 and mostly rain at 100 ft
How much did you get there so far? Did you clear a coating or an inch? I see a report to the NE of you Staffordville at 2.8 but thats the only report from NE CT.
