  1. 6Z RGEM and NAM were an improvement for most in SNE.
  2. 6-year anniversary of the first big snowfall (for some) of the 2015-2016 season. Here it was actually above average snowfall and in south central connecticut we got more snow that winter than a lot of places in the Northeast, including Albany...by a lot.
  3. 6-Year anniversary of the first big snowfall of what was to become an historic winter, Winter 2014-2015. The Jan 24th overnight WWA heavy wet snows. It's interesting to go back and look at the progression of my maps starting with Nov 2014. Photoshop skills have definitely improved.
  4. Yeah im definitely in a more favorable area than you too. Good to see it go that direction though.
  5. Around these parts only 3/8 of storm >10" were paste since winter 14/15. Feb 2016, Mar 2018, Mar 2019. The other 5/8 were all dry fluff. Feb 01 was paste, Mar 01 was paste and of course Feb 13 as well
  6. 2-year anniversay of this mess. Over a half an inch of ice caused a lot of power outages and just a disaster on the roads. A significant part of Hamden and North Haven lost power for days. What made this event particularly bad was the fact that temperatures plummeted into the teens and single digits after the icing and winds picked up.
  7. What a mess on the highways cant imagine anything like that happening today. Even a NEMO couldn't do that. Hopefully well never have to experience anything like that again.
  8. Something is seriously wrong with that graphic with so many metrics. 7 day snowfall 15.6 for ORH? or 3 day 14.4? ORH got 31.9 on 1/27 alone. Not to mention pretty much everything else is off.
  9. Sounds like 14-15. Though that was about 3 weeks and 250% of climo.
  10. PNS reports out of GYX, ALY and BOX. Woodford, VT with the jackpot of 24"
  11. whats a winger? right winger or left winger?
  12. Feb 1-2 2015. That was a distinct 2-part storm. First half was horrible growth arctic sand type stuff then we changed to sleet in the teens. Low blew up over E LI and dumped another half a foot during the day around 130-330PM with big dendrites 20:1 type stuff.
  13. I tried signing up for American Politics like a year ago and i couldn't get it to work. Now i remember why. When i look for the confirmation email, nothings there. I've tried waiting, i've tried to resend it, i've changed my email to a different one, i tried checking spam folders...nothing. This is why i couldn't sign up about a year ago and still can't. Any help?
  14. worse than Jan 15? It was pretty f**kin bad there and here
  15. It's absolutely horrific and they should be embarrased that they rolled something like this out as fully operational. Fortunately i have WeatherTap and highly recommend it for desktop users.
  16. 4 Year Anniversary of a great snowstorm. Jan 7th 2017. Probably one of my favorite half foot (more or less) storms of all time. Everything went perfect. Very cold temperatures, almost all daytime, verified perfectly and trended great on models during the final 24-72 hrs.
  17. Was bored so i made this text graphic for the past 7 seasons (14/15- present) basically since ive been in CT and active on here. 30 storms. Divisions are 3" or more (advisory level) 6" or more (warning level) and 10" or more (warning level - major)
