  1. Somethin well have to keep an eye on. Hoping some more reliable models hop on board today with the 12Z runs. If that happens even 3-6 would put a lot of areas in the 16-22 range.
  2. Raging HERPES. 6-12 additional after the first part. Had to post this just for the shock value. Part 2 only.
  3. I feel bad for anyone who has to rely on that disaster of radar (the new one) and doesnt have wx tap or radar scope for mobile. So ill try to post these as much as i can from WXTAP. Which i highly recommend.
  4. 1.1" in 1 hour in North Haven. Light snow current.
  5. it just let up here lol, light snow.
  6. Its absolutely dumping now in north haven, radar returns dont really look like what im seeing outside. Easily 1/hr rates. Going to measure in 30 minutes to see. very large dendrites.
  7. becoming heavy. snow growth has improved greatly big dendrites now.
  8. Moderate Snow. Everythings white...wooo
  9. Light snow picking up in intensity. Roads covered. 22F.
  10. Just saw NBCs map. Pretty much identical minus the 6-10 in the SE corner. I like it.
  11. Final call for this beast. Our first call was 6-12 and we bumped it up 4-6 across the board. Had a sliver of 6-10 along SE CT but pulled it after looking at bufkit and 00Z models coming in. Still expect some mixing there but the damage will be done the way i see it. 6-10 is too low imo and so i expect them, while not to get 16-18 like SW CT but just be close to the 10" range. SW CT in the upper part of the range and highlighted and area of localized 20" especially near the NY boarder and extreme SW CT. Looked at the valley min situation and dont feel its a problem to warrant a lower range there. I saw the RGEM/HRGEM/GEM on crack destroying central CT on east on Tuesday. Not sure what to make of that and its the only model suite doing that was it was ignored for the time being.
  12. always, for the most part just been out of town for every one, Vegas, italy, cali etc everytime we got a big boy..:/
  13. youre lucky, its escaped me all my life. never seen anything over 15 before.
  14. Theres some potential for sure, usually comes when its not forecasted ala Jan 2011 and Feb 2013, but when it is...Jan 2015...well, we know what happens. There was a couple 30 burgers in NE CT that storm though just nowhere near us. Talk later on, bfn.
  15. Definitely by dawn for a good chunk of the state. SW CT may have an inch or two even on the ground by then. Far NE CT probably just a bit after though. Havent looked super close yet.
  16. if it snowing by dawn theres no travel issues tonight/overnight. AM commute monday morning (dawn) is a different story. oh nvm i meant today is prep day. i work nights so today is my tomorrow sorry for the confusion.
  17. not too much of bunch from the 6-10 and 3-6 they had, introduced a 12-16 in the extreme SW corner as well. Thatll probably change one more time before go time im guessing.
  18. Just catching up on the 00Z runs and 6Z runs, look fantastic albeit with the usual caveats and red flags. Not an easy forecast but it seems we have much better agreement than that mess at 12Z yesterday. Id like to see a little continuity with the 12Z runs today before we put out a final call. Tomorrow is prep and warning day. No travel issues for anyone in CT until overnight.
  19. Like always theres going to be some localized major busts...in both directions. With big boys like this though, it gets magnified greatly. Wouldn't be surpised to see reports range from 6 to 30 in CT alone.
