  1. Overcast. 29F. Just measured 0.2". 0.0" on everything paved, roads, sidewalks, driveways etc. 4:45PM North Haven, CT 110FT. OKX went to clear air mode looks like some returns entering in from NY. At least well have some snow in the air tonight and through tomorrow. I'm really annoyed with this new NWS radar i know its been mentioned here several times but aside from the awful look, i would have delt with it but it wont even load on mobile. This is a screenshot from my phone this afternoon while i was out. I waited 5 minutes and this is all that i could see. What's the point of this when i cant even use it.
  2. that seems pretty reasonable. I think 2-4 is fine for northern CT esp NE CT. But in the 4 southern counties. I think we're looking at C-1. I literally have no measurable at this time, the roads were wet and never snow covered.
  3. how much? if i could pay, id seriously put down $500 for a repeat of 2011. And you can give me a big fat weenie emoji for that, at this point im fed up.
  4. i agree with that. Dec had the biggest snow storm of my life for that month and if feb and mar can pull me to at least 30". If not 40+ id forgive Jan and call this winter a B or higher. Im likining what im seeing on ensembles for the Feb 02 storm.
  5. 3 winters in a row. A big pile of....
  6. hard to believe that this Jan is actually worse than Jan 2020 but here we are. Its looking likely that ill finish this entire month with around 1".
  7. heavy flurries and wet roads in north haven
  8. pow. very dense light snow. probably the worst growth in the history of all snow.
  9. Yeah it does but GFS16 doesn't. Looks in-line with the other foreign models. No obs thread? Too much of a little turd for obs? Ill post em in here then. Overcast. 32F. DXR and BDR reporting light snow now.
  10. It looks really good, at least for your area with the initial push for about a couple hours then drops off like a rock and lift in the DGZ is awful. This is HR22 vs HR24.This is just one run of one model, outside of its normal run time but looking at the two big ones where i can see snow growth, NAM and GFS, are not too impressive. With that said, i do think 1-2 that OKX has is on the low side but right now i dont feel too comfortable going much higher than 2-5.
  11. theres a press conference at one of those two, you have to figure out which one.
  12. oh nice thats cool, didnt know thought it could be a coincidence. Figured on here, you never know.
  13. Are you actually related to mr. Norlun or is this a joke? Asking for a friend.
  14. Theres 1 more too. I'm holding a press conference at the 4 seasons......landscaping.
  15. a little purple hot dog over southern CT, for all the CT weenies.
  16. my Gateway running windows 98 is smoking, cant handle these insane totals.
  17. Decided to go with 2-4" across the state with the lowest amounts in the far SW corner and highlighted the possibility for up to 5" in E/NE CT. Think the BOX and OKX are a bit low i.e. 1-2" and 2-3" for much of the area. Some sleet and freezing rain is possible for a time as precip lightens after the inital burst. Might update tomorrow morning and bump up if models trend more bullish.
  18. the ZR triggered it. The snow is below criteria.
  19. 6Z RGEM and NAM were an improvement for most in SNE.
  20. 6-year anniversary of the first big snowfall (for some) of the 2015-2016 season. Here it was actually above average snowfall and in south central connecticut we got more snow that winter than a lot of places in the Northeast, including Albany...by a lot.
  21. 6-Year anniversary of the first big snowfall of what was to become an historic winter, Winter 2014-2015. The Jan 24th overnight WWA heavy wet snows. It's interesting to go back and look at the progression of my maps starting with Nov 2014. Photoshop skills have definitely improved.
  22. Yeah im definitely in a more favorable area than you too. Good to see it go that direction though.
