  9. Good morning all. Seeing the heavy flakes falling, late last night, via my row house street light I thought my postage stamps oak leaf drifts would have a different look this morning. Not a flake that fell stayed. I have hope that before years end their will be a Currier and Ives in my back yards future. Stay well all and thank you for the uplifting photos. As always….
  10. Good evening forky. My mom was an excellent Italian and American cook. Considering her Sicilian roots ….. if you had made that comment in her presence, you, in short order would have been the spitting image of your avatar. Be well and stay dry under the bridge. As always….
  11. Good afternoon MANDA. Magnificent photos. Sadly living in a UHI inner city, near ocean location the best I can come up with is mixed precipitation falling, consisting of rain and oak leaves. Stay well, as always ….
  12. Good afternoon all. Hitman inspired me to look it up and I found the seven rituals that need to be performed when one desires a snow or school snow day, as follows: I. Wear inside-out backward PJ’s. 2. Place a spoon under the pillow. 3. Do a Snow Dance. 4. Place a white crayon in the freezer. 5. Place ice cubes on the porch. 6. Flush ice cubes down the toilet. 7. Run around the dining table five times before bed. if the dance fails, at least you have six other options. Their results can’t be any worse than the long range models. Stay well all, as always ….

  18. Good morning BW. The statistics are fascinating to me. I was wondering, considering the difference in Islip snowfall over the past decades, has the number of measurable snowfall events also increased or is it the occurrence of larger not more QPF frozen events that have caused the upward change. Thank you and others for your ongoing and excellent contributions for those of us still trying to understand. As always ….
  19. Good evening Rob. I feel fine and thank you. I will test tomorrow for + or -. I still need to take care of the necessities so I follow the protocols. The postage stamp has oak leaf drift and the 80 foot (my estimate) oak is not done yet. It’s relatively young, about 35 years. The figs are still leafed, the Camilla’s are fully budded and I have to have a serious seasons talk with the maple. Sadly I can almost envision the coconut palms a generation or two down the road. Well I guess I’ll go back to entertainment tonight since forky’s posting. Stay well, as always ….
  20. Good evening S19 An informed persons honest take, whether it’s substance is something you like or not, is not shocking but instead welcome. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving. As always ….
  21. My Christmas cactus always gives me joy by blooming for Thanksgiving. This will be the first time in 75+ years I’ll be alone. I finally, fully vaccinated and multi boosted joined the Covid club. Minor symptoms with no other issues and thanks to FaceTime being alone is not what it used to be. My friends, if I can pull one wish out of my full bucket list it would be to see all of you at a sub forum get together. All of you at the same table and me, of course, at a safe distance enjoying the show. May all of you have a blessed day, you’ll always be special to me. As always …
