Yeah well back into Hunterdon and eastern PA. We certainly could get more downpours. Some models runs did have the storms this far south. The models were all over the place with the scattered convection. I'm glad our area is finally having good luck.

Very heavy rain and a couple close lightning strikes. I see there's more all the way back into Hunterdon County, so this could be a major soaking. Great for the vegetable garden.

Yeah I was just looking at radar and the storm in Somerset County looks pretty good. Hopefully it won't fall apart like the one earlier in the afternoon did. Heading right for me, so hopefully some heavy rain soon. Hopefully it will hit you too instead of missing slightly to your north.

Yeah it's annoying having to water the vegetable garden so often. I watered every day this week to help it get through the dry heat wave. I'm skipping the watering today ... the garden can survive 1 day without water, lol. Hopefully we'll get some help from mother nature soon.

It did drop the temperature all the way down to 78 here, so at least there's that.

Unfortunately not enough rain for me. Just light to moderate and a few hundreths. I got skipped over. As Stormlover said, it fell apart and then blew back up just a few miles to my east. Kind of similar to what happened with those storms 2 weeks ago. So annoying when that happens. I see it's coming down in buckets in eastern Middlesex County now. Very frustrating. I'm glad you're getting enough though.

So far it's only raining moderately here. I'm on the southern edge of this storm. Hopefully it'll start pouring. Did have some 30 to 40 mph wind gusts.

I just got home from Shoprite, and it appears just in time. Looks as if this storm is about to hit me. Loud thunder and getting windy. Too bad you're not in Plainfield. It appears it's gonna hit southern Union County along with northern Middlesex.

I agree. HRRR doesn't show nearly as much activity as the NAM models do. I'm not getting my hopes up too high for today, but there should be at least isolated activity so hopefully we'll get lucky. Also as far as the length of this heat wave, it looks very close on Monday. I thought it would be a 10 day heat wave through Wednesday here, but Monday might stay in the upper 80s before going back to the 90s for Tuesday and Wednesday. It's going to be close though. We certainly could touch 90 on Monday. It'll feel a lot better Monday afternoon though with the NW winds and dropping humidity.

Yeah unlike today where they're staying well north, a few pop ups can happen anywhere tomorrow. 18z HRRR has a couple cells right near our area, but of course at this point who knows where they'll pop up. Only about a 30% chance, so have to hope to get very lucky.

It's brutal. Models not showing much for the weekend. Just a few pop up storms. A 30% chance at best. Doesn't look like a lot of activity with the front Sunday night into Monday either. I hope we get lucky with something, but only a slim chance. We can hope for more activity with a potential stronger front for Wednesday into Thursday, but obviously that's too far out there to be confident.

Yeah I don't bother watering the lawn. All the water goes for the vegetable garden which obviously is much more important. Sucks that we're in such a dry pattern.

92 here right now. Dew point is 64, so the humidity isn't terribly high today. Obviously hot, but it doesn't feel too bad out there.

Yeah you never know. The late next week cooldown that the models are showing right now could disappear. Man it is so dry out there too. It has been about 2 weeks since we've had rain here. Awful. Hopefully we'll see something soon, but the activity the next 2 days will probably stay to the north. We probably have to wait until late Sunday into Monday for a better chance.

I agree with SACRUS that we're probably gonna see a pretty good cooldown late next week, so I doubt it will go that long. I do think we're looking at a 10 day heat wave though here in NJ, as I mentioned a couple days ago. Humidity will lower early next week, but we should still hit 90 Monday and Tuesday. This heat wave probably goes through Wednesday. Very impressive to get 10 days in a row.

91 with a dewpoint of 67 here. Not quite as hot as yesterday, but the heat wave continues. Doesn't feel that bad out there.
