  1. Latest HRRR keeps the heavy rain to our northwest, but who knows with convection. We'll just have to wait and see.
  2. Yeah tomorrow not looking quite as impressive as it did a few days ago, but there will still be some t-storms and heavy downpours around. Probably will be some spots that get 1 to 2 inches of rain. That looks like quite an airmass coming in for late week to close out the month. Dewpoints might fall to the 30s. We're gonna have some cool nights.
  3. Had a weak t-storm here that dropped a tenth of an inch of rain. At least it held off until after cookout time, as expected. Definitely a little more than what I was expecting though. The rain coming in from PA is falling apart as expected, but it was a bit of a surprise that these cells popped up.
  4. 86 degrees here right now feels great with the dewpoint at 45. A top 10 day of the year.
  5. I'm glad Saturday and Sunday are looking better and better. 2 out of 3 isn't bad for the holiday weekend. I usually have my cookouts Sunday and Monday, but I'm moving it up to Saturday and Sunday.
  6. Yeah I got 0.72" here. Very happy with that, but I'm sorry that you missed out.
  7. Still pouring here. Yesterday I said that I didn't like the morning timing of this because it ruins what could have been a great severe weather day, but it's nice that we're getting a good soaking. The ground had really dried out.
  8. Yep nothing severe here, but very heavy downpour with some thunder. Glad that the vegetable garden is getting a good watering.
  9. And the humidity will drop like a rock on Friday to go along with the warm temps.
  10. Latest HRRR gives us some heavy rain during the morning tomorrow. Lousy timing if you want a severe weather day, but I'm hoping we can get a decent soaking.
  11. It hit 90 here too. We won't be nearly as high tomorrow due to the early timing of the rain.
  12. I don't consider you a troll, but nycwinter definitely is. I mean he asked if people were feeling dizzy this morning. He posts crazy stuff just to get reactions.
  13. I was gonna say the same thing. It seems like an act to me. He's probably laughing when he types that crazy stuff.
  14. I see 12z RGEM does hit our area pretty good around midday and early afternoon. We hope!
  15. On 3km NAM and HRRR the storms get going in the morning. Doesn't mean we won't get a decent storm, but I'm usually more confident when the timing is for later in the day.
  16. A lot of the models have been showing the action around midday.
  17. I don't like how early the timing is for tomorrow. I would think areas to the south and east would be favored due to that, but I hope we get something decent.
  18. Had a high temp of 89 here today. Beautiful day.
  19. The models are all over the place on the timing of the rounds of showers for the holiday weekend. I'm hoping the timing will work out so that 2 of the 3 afternoons/evenings are dry for cookouts, but who knows at this point.
  20. Right now the models are showing it dry Saturday and Sunday, but Monday is questionable. Rain could move in during the day or it could hold off until later at night. Would be nice if the whole holiday weekend is dry, even though it will be cooler with east winds. Of course it's still early, so I wouldn't have a lot of confidence in the holiday weekend forecast yet.
  21. In addition to the 90 degree heat, I think we have severe t-storm potential on Thursday. Nice that we have some interesting weather to look forward to this week after all the boring east wind weather we've had this month.
  22. To me it still appears that winds will go SW which will allow us to get well up into the 80s. In fact I was probably being a little conservative 2 days ago when I said mid 80s. Now I think we'll be upper 80s to around 90 Tuesday through Thursday.
  23. I'm betting it will be quite a bit warmer than this forecast too. With sunshine and the winds switching to the SSW, our area should get up to the mid 80s.
  24. I would gladly take 2 out of 3 nice days for the holiday weekend. 9 days away is an eternity when talking about weather, so who knows at this point.
  25. I enjoyed the 65 degrees and cloudy with a cool breeze during my run this afternoon (perfect running weather), but that's the only time I enjoy it. Otherwise 70s or 80s with sunshine is best this time of year. Obviously this will be over soon anyway. A few weeks from now these cool days will be a thing of the past.
