    Swing and miss lol. It took some luck to miss every single storm for the past 4 days. That was impressive. Hopefully this week continues to stay dry. I've got jobs to do.

    This is cool. Yesterday I got hours and hours of mood thunder from 25 miles nw. Today i get mood thunder from 25 miles sw. It's putting me in a shitty mood while I water my dead flowers lol

    I agree 100%. Heat like we had demands respect. I didn't want to be 5 miles deep and start seeing stars. It's happened to me before and it's kinda scary. Last winter I was about 3/4 of a miles into the Winona snowforest on Tug Hill on a sled trail. I was out there when a maga intensity LES band shifted north and overtook my location. It was almost scary when the wind stopped and what felt like the walls closing in. It's indescribable. I even experienced it happening in the middle of night. Clouds are back, but the wind has increased a lot. Come on storms!

    The sun has been out for the past 30 minutes and the temps and wind have definitely increased.

    I hike in -20 and feel safe about it. Heat is another animal. Definitely to be respected. Good move turning back. If you don't feel right about a hike ALWAYS turn back immediately.

    Oh look. It's not even 9am and Frederick is already getting ready for the first hit of the day. I might do a little storm chasing today. I might try to get under one of these isolated flood events. Thinking it might me fun to find a hiking area under the best storm. Lightning? Yeah. It's scary in the woods but it really lets you know you're alive. And you suddenly might not be lol. I almost got fried last summer in Crownsville.

    Another event with a bunch of hype and nothing but isolated winners again. This is super frustrating lol

    As soon as those two outflow boundaries collided a storm popped to my wsw on the east side of the DC beltway. It went from a cloud i was watching to a thunderstorm in about 5 minutes. It just started tossing lots of electricity.

    I opened my point and click and saw the watches. Then I looked at radar lol. Congrats to that one small area getting crushed. Why does every little cell have a warning? Any severe being reported?

    I was kinda shocked to see a flood watch pop up for the lowerlands (AA County). Hopefully there's a flash flood later lol

    Those low dewpoints yesterday were the kiss of death. Dews are up today but best energy is north over areas that don't need rain.

    I feel like every thunderstorm these days gets a warning. They should just call them thunderstorm warnings. I don't even pay attention to watches and warnings. They happen every time I hear thunder.

    Wow! Northern AA County got nailed. Not a drop here. Radar looks good for DC imo. That stuff west of DC will run into stale rain cooled air after sunset. It will die off imo. I don't expect anything here this evening east of DC.

    That little cell to my nw is rocking. Non stop rolling thunder coming from that thing. I'm starting to hear it coming from my sw from that cell that's popping up on the east side of the DC beltway. LFG!

    I'm seeing the first signs of some rising motion in the atmosphere. It feels like a little boundary came through and the dewpoint shot back up. I'm hoping some action gets focused into my area from that feature. Super hot out there!

    Thanks for changing the subject lol. Today has the big storm vibe. It was lacking the past two days. Today feels different. LFG! Happy 4th to everyone. Hopefully storms happen between plans.

    Seems odd. None of the models show any storms anywhere. I guess the RRFS has storm and nws is hugging it.

    We never bust on heat. My thermometer says 102. Hot AF!
