    I'm one of the lucky ones today. I had a nice storm. I received about .80" in about 20 minutes. The temp went from 99 to the low 70's in about 20 minutes also.

    It's hot as hell but the sky is nice and blue. At least we're not choking on wildfire smoke.

    It's amazing. The forest is quiet. I've got a few birds hanging out in the grassy shady area along the woods. The ground is probably cooler there. It's interesting how the animals handle extreme temperatures, both cold and hot. 97 here in the thick forest along the South River. It's probably 100 just above the trees. I'm sweating just sitting on my shady screen porch smoking a dooby.

    Same problem I get when doing paver restoration. I can't apply polly sand if a thunderstorm is possible. Errr.... My truck is reading 97 in Severna Park. Same as it was yesterday at this time.

    Only 93 here in the sub tropical lowlands. I think the ground moisture and a few clouds have temps kinda stalled IMBY.

    I can't wait for record heat. RIP veggie garden again this year. We'll get enough heat to kill everything. Then the pattern will shift back to normal. Our climo sucks for just about everything except heat, wind, and clouds.

    I was crawling around staining a deck in Ellicott City. It was brutal at times. It was 92 from Ellicott City to Crofton at about 1500.

    It came across my hiking spot in Crownsville. It was above the surface and not as strong. It still ripped the tops out of some big trees along it's path. Thar was a good storm here in the lowlands.

    Only .42" yesterday. The storms on Wednesday were a lot more impressive in my area of the lowlands. This is the prettiest morning in a long time. Hopefully this heatwave is like our cold patterns. Fast moving and overdone.

    Fun storm here but nothing severe. It's still raining really hard. Hopefully we can get some nighttime storms later on.

    It looks like demons are going to come out of the sky over the lowlands. Here comes the shelf cloud. It's wild looking out here.

    I think the actual front is associated with that thin line of storm in Ohio. It would be fun to get multiple rounds of frisky storms today. I'm hiking around Bacon Ridge surveying the damage path from the funnel cloud that moved from Odenton through Crownsville. The path came across route 3 as it headed east, along side Severn Chaple RD. It's definitely a path. Not down burst or straight line wind. The path is only about two acres wide. I'd estimate the winds were 60-70 in the most effected area. There's lots of branches and tree tops on a section of trail in Bacon Ridge, off Forney RD.

    It looks like a hefty line is forming in western VA. I'm surprised there's not a watch box yet.

    First morning in months with a clear sky. It feels like today is going to feature some rough weather.

    There's trees and power lines down in Crownsville. Cops had roads blocked due to power crews fixing downed lines.

    Heavy tropical rain and lots of ground shaking thunder. This is a fun one. It looks like there's a row of storm developing behind this batch. There's a flash flood happening here in the South River watershed. If anyone is on 450 between Crofton and Annopoils mall beware. There's a torrent headed through the watershed. Edit: 1.03" in 20 minutes

    I honestly can't remember the last sunny morning. It feels like it's been since April.

    This is rich coming from you lol. I got 1.20" from a storm last Friday. Just patchy drizzle and a couple little showers since. Not a drop last night.
