I figured you would be. Even I'm watching it down here to your SE. It's unusual for storms over Carroll County to effect my area. It looks like there's some outflow running out ahead of it. We'll see.
Brutal out there. I polly sanded a paver patio this morning and stained a deck this afternoon. It was a beast in this heat. My truck has been reading 100 degrees for the past hour.
I love a nice NE wind for a week to generate a swell. Than a light west wind for a day. It happens in October. I've seen some dreamy surf conditions along our beaches during that combination.
Beautiful day to work outside today. I didn't even notice the temperature besides it not being hot.
The clouds and humidity made me a little whiny this morning because of a important project im working on. The conditions because perfect at around 11. The wind flipped NW and the dry air flooded into the lowlands. I worked until 7:30 and got it done.
Their was a dieing heavy shower about 70 miles to your NW. It could be the Carroll County stuff. I was in Easton a few years ago. I could see the anvil from a storm in Central PA. I find that kinds stuff interesting.
Really? There's a shower about 70 miles to your NW. That might be what you see. The furthest storm I've seen is about 120 miles. OC to Frederick is far.
Woooooo.... the radar surprised me. I just noticed what looks like a rain train headed right towards my yard. Why not.. what's one more flood event before the dry week ahead.
Yup. I've completely lost my tomato plants due to hot humid nights. Blight just went nuts. The only plants in my garden that are doing well are my cannabis plants. I'm looking forward to lower dews this week.
I'm hiking in South River watershed as i type. It's extremely tropical out here. It feels the the rainforest exhibit i went to on a field trip as a kid. Dewpoints are probably 80+ back here. The temp is probably only 83 on north facing ridges and shady wetlands.
It's crazy how some places are dry. I'd love a week of dry weather. My tomato plants died from fungal diseases, it floods every other evening and it's a muddy mess full of mosquitoes. Bring on fall.
I can't remember a summer with this much cloudy, damp conditions. It's like winter but hot and humid instead of cold and damp. It's very frustrating for those of us that work outside and need dry conditions.
I'm not sure we need a flood watch today. Seems like the boy who cried wolf. Looks like the activity is winding down for the day. Not bad at all today. Nice breeze, cloudy and not that hot.
I'm sitting in the shade watching my weed plants grow in my garden. It's not bad. Nice breeze. My cannabis plants are dancing around in the breeze and hot sun as I type lol
