  1. Oh look! More rain incoming. That's new lol
  2. That's a loud little storm up around laurel.
  3. I'm hiking in South River watershed as i type. It's extremely tropical out here. It feels the the rainforest exhibit i went to on a field trip as a kid. Dewpoints are probably 80+ back here. The temp is probably only 83 on north facing ridges and shady wetlands.
  4. Oh look! Shocker! Another cloudy, extremely humid, soggy morning. I can not wait until 50 degrees and cloudy for 6 months returns.
  5. It's crazy how some places are dry. I'd love a week of dry weather. My tomato plants died from fungal diseases, it floods every other evening and it's a muddy mess full of mosquitoes. Bring on fall.
  6. I can't remember a summer with this much cloudy, damp conditions. It's like winter but hot and humid instead of cold and damp. It's very frustrating for those of us that work outside and need dry conditions.
  7. I'm getting that bowling alley effect where it's nonstop rolling thunder mixed with loud strikes. It's one stormy evening across the area.
  8. I'm not sure we need a flood watch today. Seems like the boy who cried wolf. Looks like the activity is winding down for the day. Not bad at all today. Nice breeze, cloudy and not that hot.
  9. There's already showers popping up in the lowlands and into Southern MD. I feels like it's going to be a stormy day in this region.
  10. I'm sitting in the shade watching my weed plants grow in my garden. It's not bad. Nice breeze. My cannabis plants are dancing around in the breeze and hot sun as I type lol
  11. Cold front? It's not October. You aren't new here lol. The rest of the month looks miserable. Of course, I dislike summer so of course it's miserable.
  12. Man.. what a day it was yesterday. I ended with 3.50". Lots of flooding.
  13. I'm hearing thunder to my west and it's getting pretty dark. It looks like it might be a rough evening in the lowlands. Nice lol
  14. I received 2.40" in about 45 minutes. The second round looks juicy.
  15. The water is coming! I'm just east of Crofton and it's a flood emergency situation. I've got a new lake in haven't seen in years.
  16. 37 minutes straight of extremely heavy rain and still dumping. 450 from Crofton to Annopoils is experiencing flash flooding capable of washing vehicles off the road. The South River Watershed is experiencing extreme rainfall and flash flooding. The rain is absolutely roaring.
  17. This looks like what the HRRR had earlier. I watched this storm complex build from one lone cloud. It's engulfing the lowlands as I type. Super heavy tropical rain and increasing lightning.
  18. My reverse psychology worked!! It feels pretty tropical out here now. Earlier it didn't feel to bad out. Hopefully we get an interesting evening again today. I'm off due to weather delays on the projects we're working on. I'm headed off on a hike. I kinda hope i get stuck in a storm deep in the woods lol.
  19. It feel a lot better today than yesterday. Not as good if you are expecting severe storms and flooding imo. This feel like an average summer day.
  20. I'm surprised we're not seeing headlines from Richmond this morning. It looks like storms sat over the same area all night. The models today really like the lowlands. They suggest stationary cells develop and sit over the lowlands due to a sea breeze boundary. Than storms roll in over the same area from the west.
  21. Richmond has been getting nailed all night.
  22. I've never seen so many ffw and severe thunderstorm watches. When I was a kid they were just summer thunderstorms lol
  23. The line kinda died out but flared back up right at my doorstep. Their was suddenly a big increase in lighting strikes and loud thunder. The lowlands are getting rocked.
  24. Upwelling from south winds can turn that heatwave into 60 degree chill fest overnight. The hottest summers sometimes have the coldest water temps. The bay is different. It gets hot.
  25. That depends on wind direction. Your best bet for seeing warm clear coastal waters is a NE wind. Models don't seem that impressed with big rain later. I did notice the HRRR seems to have juiced up a little bit.
