  1. I'm starting to get that snow fog look. Everything caving
  2. I'm planning on getting up super early and getting out at day break here in my area. I couldn't get out to the west end of Wye Island yesterday due to drifts. It was beautiful though.
  3. Totally agree. I spent the day yesterday on Wye Island taking pictures. It's been dreamy all week.
  4. You beat me to it. I've got butter i made with bubble hash. A teaspoon on some bread and you'll be bird watching lol
  5. Or a nice joint with some homemade, from the garden, hash in it lol. I think today I'll day hike. Anyone in the Crownsville area wants to join me it's cool.
  6. Man... before the days of the internet I thought i was the only sicko that enjoyed dark, gray, white ground and early sunsets. Nope. Here we all are together like a furry convention lol
  7. I see no change from a few days ago. Models seem to have done pretty good. It still looks like a 1-2" deal east and south east of 95. I'd lean more towards flurries for the NW crew. Looks like high clouds are already moving in. Hopefully clouds hold temps down today.
  8. Use too. Bacon Ridge in AA County at an elevation of 180' (my hiking area) has done better 4 of the past 5 years lol. Just having fun with PSU.
  9. This definitely hasn't been the cold outbreak it looked like a couple weeks ago. My coldest low is this morning at 20. The daytime highs over perform as well. I'm not complaining, just not what I was expecting with snowcover.
  10. It was wild on Wye Island today. The road on the island was blocked by drifts. The local farmer was trying to clear the road with a dozer. It looked more like North Dakota than Wye Island.
  11. You made my day! That brings back a lot of good memories from my teenage years. That was a few years after the blizzard of 96 and the follow up 6" from a clipper.
  12. A legendary positive bust. I could go on forever about this storm. It was an amazing event. I remember the forecast for it to go south of us. No storm or hype about a storm. I remember going to a friend's house that evening to hang out. I remember thinking it was odd how the full moon disappeared behind thick clouds and the wind was picking up. I didn't think much about it again. When I got home that evening I stood there looking at the dark night sky and remember the wind. I went inside and turned on twc to catch the radar on the 8's. That radar image is something I'll never forget. It was a wall of dark blue racing our direction from the SE. It went from a few flakes to ripping snow fog in 5 minutes. The storm was wild. I remember measuring 20"
  13. I'm headed to Wye Island for a little hiking this afternoon. It looks like upstate NY over here. There blowing and drifting, snow devils dancing in fields. Winter sexy lol
  14. The most diabolical post I've seen here lol
  15. If I don't get an inch I'm going to troll Justin Berk like I always do. It's how I cope.
  16. Absolutely not! Definitely come on down. It's reminds me of visiting Lake Placid with my family as a kid. I suspect we'll be seeing ice in the 4-6 inch thickness range in a week.
  17. The tributaries are already mostly frozen. I think we're in for some pretty historic ice over the next few weeks.
  18. It should give our snowpack a fresh sparkle and make Saturday morning a nice hiking opportunity.
  19. My point and click is calling for 1-3" tomorrow night. I'm pumped
  20. I agree! This is becoming an awesome winter here in our area. If i get another 2" this weekend I'll only be 4" from climo. The long range continues the arctic hammer. We'll be walking on the bay in a few weeks.
  21. Why are we acting like 1-2 area wide is nothing? That's snow on snow on snow for me. LFG!!
  22. It was fun but was 63 degrees 48 hours later. That make me vomit. Jan 25, 2000 wasn't the biggest storm I've seen but the intensity of the snow and the darkness that fell across the land during the middle of the day made it wild with 4-5" rates.
