  1. Easy to say when it's 33 and snowing. I wasn't expecting 40 with heavy rain.
  2. Thankfully heavy rates have moved in. Heavier rain and up another degree to 40 lol. We do need the rain. It's looking super dry after this storm.
  3. My temp keeps rising. How high will it go. 40? 45? 50? What is going on here lol
  4. It was brutal in here yesterday. Anyone that mentioned these models got their head ripped off. I was thinking the whole time. "What if it's correct" lol. The rule is always follow the model with the worst outcome. You'll be right 90% of the time. I'm losing more snow today than gaining lol
  5. I was thinking about headed up to Salamander Rock. I decided against it because driving back to the rainy lowlands is depressing lol
  6. Same. We just rain and lose our snowpack lol Congrats PA
  7. I was hoping we wouldn't just get a miserable rain all day. I rather have nothing. I'm planning a hike but rather not be wearing rain gear and sweating. Up to 40 lol
  8. Temp rising and rain falling. I hope my snowpack can withstand rain and warm until my 45 minutes of snow this afternoon.
  9. Radar is filling in fast. Looks like the heavier stuff is headed for east of DC.
  10. I thought about that too bit the ride home can be depressing lol. I'm headed to my favorite local spot in Crownsville for a day hike. I'll be turning my phone off. No radar, no board, just me and whatever happens.
  11. He's up. He's over on Facebook breaking the news to the 400 teachers that follow him. He should be here any moment. 37 wait on my rain to snow
  12. Yup! Book it. Rain until 2 then we rip for a few hours while nw sees brighter sky to the west.
  13. My thoughts as well. Everyone is going to freak when nothing happens until like 2. But when it hits it's going to be fun. Temps crashing, snow ripping, wind picking up. Should be fun. It will probably sit around 40 degrees until start time. Probably rain a bit this morning. 2-3 is my feeling.
  14. My gut says lowlands win this one today. Columbia to Annopoils will get a heavy wet band that surprises everyone lol. I think the gfs has the idea. LFG
  15. But nice choice lol. Gelato Cake for nerves
  16. The temp is dropping fast. My snowpack made it through the torch! It's nice not being stuck at 50 waiting on the temp to drop. I can't wait for my hike in the snow tomorrow. LFG!
  17. That would put the lowlands at almost climo. LFG!
  18. You're definitely correct but I think the difference here is that this isn't our usual little bs cold shot. This is a legit arctic airmass.
  19. Well get our band of heavy wet snow as it pulls ne and crushes NYC. 2-3" within a couple hours could be fun. This is mother nature putting snow where it's been pretty bad this season. Our area is coming close to climo even with 2-3 and it's only mid January.
  20. 24 hours out and we don't know much more than we did 5 days ago. I sware we live in a simulation. It has to be lol
  21. I'm not trying to deb at all. I'd put a paycheck on this is how it plays out. Not terrible imo. A couple hours of heavy snow would be a win for AA County.
  22. So do I but this is probably a very accurate forecast from what I'm seeing for the lowlands. I'm a lowlands expert lol
  23. The 95 region will go like this.. It will start as rain while nw of the area will be snow and 30-31 degrees. Lowlands will be 35-36 with light rain. As the low gets going and the precip is rocketing ne a band will form on the backside. It will be pretty heavy. Temps will drop to 31-32 and rain will turn to heavy snow. Big wet flakes. That will last from 45 minutes to about 2 hours. It will drop 1-2" maybe a 3" lollie in my yard lol. It will rapidly end from sw to ne and the wind will come in behind it. I've watched weather in this area for 46 years. Book it
  24. I'll take it. It puts the jack over AA and PG County and takes away from Carroll County. Interesting
