  1. Yet another storm bust on precip. The trend has been terrible as far as getting rain. Lakes and creeks still dried out.
  2. .85 for the weekend so far. Not bad but I like about an inch more. The sun is out and it's hot and humid.
  3. Anyone ever wonder about that ocean effect snow that comes off the gulf stream? It seems wild that snow falls on water that's really warm.
  4. Oh totally. And it basically was a screw job here like normal. I only got about 3". That was on top of almost 3' so I wasn't that bitter. The wind that morning was awesome though. It looked like the tundra here in the lowlands.
  5. Absolutely. It's why I started the subject. Have at it my friend.
  6. Oh I remember lots of tears as a kid from Miller B's. I remember one year when I was about 19yo. I had a blizzard party one night. It was susposed to set in around 8pm. My friends and I had our beers, sleds, joints and were partying down waiting on the snow. My buddy goes out around 8 for a cigarette and comes back in and says the sky is clear and the moon is out. We all go outside and see the full moon. I go downstairs and wait for the local on the 8's to see radar. The storm exploded to far NE and just missed us. It lit NY city up. It was so depressing lol
  7. Exactly! You nailed it. I just didn't want to get shit for being excited to walk on the wetlands and ponds. Shhhhh.. safety police are watching lol
  8. I did mention hating them lol. They never work out, but when they do... fun times. They normally make epic bust for our area.
  9. .48 so far. I think 2" by Monday is doable. Bring it! We need the wetlands and ponds to fill up.
  10. I know everyone here hates Miller B storms, myself included, for obvious reasons. If they do work out for us they are one of the funnest storms to watch unfold. Once that energy transfer takes place and you start seeing the wavy banding forming as the radar blossoms. That's usually when that NNE wind start moving and the snow starts falling in sheets, and than the snow fog sets in and it's on. It's been forever since I've seen this. I like the big shields coming from the south from a Miller A, but nothing beats that blossoming of heavy snow. One of the best radar presentations I've ever seen of an incoming storm was Jan 25, 2000. That was a blossoming shield rushing in from the SE.
  11. Looks like a huge east coast snowstorm at the end of the GFS run.
  12. Is tropical tidbits down for anyone else? It won't load on my phone.
  13. Go in the bathroom like everyone else here. You ever check model runs during Christmas dinner before? You can't be a savage and just break your phone out and start drooling at the dinner table. Boxing day anyone? Lol
  14. Thanks lol. I was close lol. That was an epic storm. My county AA county got nuked by that storm. I can't imagine.
  15. The elite GOAT Storm= February 2010 and 1928 Knickerbocker storm
  16. Merry Christmas to everyone. I appreciate everyone here that shares the same obsession as i have.
  17. Temperature creeping above freezing with a few sleet pellets and sprinkles.
  18. I just took the trash up to the street and almost ate shit on the way back down the driveway. It's definitely a little dangerous out there on the roads this morning.
  19. Thanks, Bob. Always appreciate your analysis. My comment was more so to get the conversation going this morning in here. It got a BC response so it worked as planned lol.
  20. Still haven't seen a flake at my house yet this season. It doesn't look like that changing any time soon. Just a couple sprinkles and ice pellets this morning while the sun peaking out.
  21. That GFS snowstorm lasted 6 hours lol. Gone now with a totally different look.
