  1. Definitely. I have a snow on the ground fetish that need to be tickled.
  2. Humbling experience. I went from 43 to below freezing in 5 minutes. Within 10 minutes of being 43 it was dumping and blowing powder and sticking everywhere. Than the lightning streaking across the sky every few minutes. Totally wild. I was on the Catoctins earlier today thinking I scored. Hell.. I saw the craziest shit right here at 160' elevation lol
  3. The only thundersnow I remember like this was Nov 11th, 1983 during a freak snowstorm that struck when I was in 3rd grade. I remember getting stuck in school until midnight.
  4. I wish I could post videos. I got two strikes and rolling weird thunder on video. The snow became powdery and was coming down super intense. The lightning, loud thunder, wind and my neighbors screaming kids made it a wild experience. Best squall of my 46 years alive.
  5. Down here in AA County we like to ride the line. Big QPF and big snowflakes. If we don't ping, we bling.
  6. 1/3/25 Thundersnow storm 1" in less than 15 minutes.
  7. Most exciting 15 minutes of snow of my life. I must of seen 5 lightning flashes and big rolling thunder while ripping 6-7" per hour. I got an inch in 10 minutes.
  8. Most exciting 15 minutes of snow of my life. I must of seen 5 lightning flashes and big rolling thunder while ripping 6-7" per hour. I got an inch in 10 minutes.
  9. That was absolutely epic! I just got crushed by a thundersnow storm. I've captured the lightning and thunder on video. The ground, including the roads are completely covered. Truly the best squall i ever saw.
  10. This stuff completely missed the advisory area.
  11. Back in AA County. 43 with rain lol
  12. Looks like a snowstorm up here on top of the Catoctins at the moment. Down to 28.
  13. I can confirm. It's coming down nicely and sticking.
  14. Ground white and roads/rocks are caving here at Salamander Rock.
  15. I'm standing in an old stone building at Salamander Rock. It's almost 1900'. It's cold, 30. There's not a breath of wind and it's snowing steadily and starting to whiten the ground. Beautiful up here.
  16. I'm headed to Salamander Rock in the Catoctins. Headed out now. Should be in position by 11. I'll report from the Rock what I'm seeing.
  17. Yeah. Looks pretty boring. I'm thinking about going up to the Catoctins for a hike. Maybe I'll catch some accumulations up there.
  18. I was living in Carroll County a couple years ago with the devil and my hometown in AA County got 11" while Carroll County got pity flakes. Last year I did better here in AA then Carroll County. It happens but not very much. I remember a lot more storm that missed me and hit Northern MD.
  19. So, what happened to this threat lol. This thread looks like it died overnight.
  20. I'd go further. Like NY lol. Or VA Beach. They do better than northern MD lol
  21. When you do that Hanover will get hit lol. Congrats VA. I know those guys down there are jumping for joy. I would be.
  22. Yup. AA County for the win. I know our climo isn't Carroll County but when we get rocked, we get rocked. I've seen some monsters in my 46 years here (alive).
  23. Hell. The pummeling continues all the way east into the lowlands of AA County. That's not something we see very much.
  24. How does JI post a euro weenie map on Facebook and get 400 likes in 15 minutes? Is this the twilight zone? Lol
