  1. QBO dropped to 8.25 for September.
  2. I guess maybe the backdooring has commenced. Temp has been pretty steady though for the past hour. Up one degree actually to 79 now.
  3. It wont even be close to that good for our area. You will be more sad.
  4. Temp "down" to 78 at 630 pm on Oct 2. How sad lol.
  5. Its like a mother effing oven outside. 94 here.
  6. That should be pretty easy to find. Any place that carries Southern Tier should have it this time of year. There is also a cold press coffee edition of the Pumking.
  7. I would happily take 0.6". I will expect something on the order of 0.06".
  8. It will surely evaporate, like all the other chances for sig rain recently. Drought begets drought. Atmospheric memory. Or some shiit like that
  9. The rum barrel aged Pumking was pretty good. The 13.4% abv made it worth the price, despite the pumpkin aroma being over the top. I won't go out of my way to get it again.
  10. I have grown a bit tired of the pumpkin ales. Maybe 2 or 3 really decent ones. The rest miss the mark in one way or another- over the top artificial pumpkin pie smell/lack of real pumpkin in the mash, or spices too prominent.
  11. Gotta hope the CanSIPS is onto something though. This is the third straight run of advertising the same general idea- significant HL blocking and a PNA/EPO ridge. We haven't seen this sort of look advertised on super LR/climate models for ages...right?
  12. I 'think' this may be implying a weakened PV.
  13. New CanSIPS is out. Looking at h5 height anomalies, there is a ridiculous amount of red lol. Good news is, its mostly in the right places, and our region is not in any of it from Nov through Feb.
  14. End of this week. Early next week. For sure.
  15. Wasn't that bad here. 84 and breezy. Tomorrow looks very nice. Looks like we may "luck out" with Wed being the only hideously warm day this week. Once again, I am going to focus my complaining more on the lack of rain. Chances with the front later this week, which looked promising on guidance a few days ago, now look pretty lame.
  16. Breeze has really kicked up here. Leaves are pouring out of the trees. Really odd to see. It will be interesting to see what the foliage looks like in another month. eta- what's left of it lol
  17. Just looked at the 0z Euro on weather.us. Same deal with the late week front. Some good rains to our north, and nothing here.
  18. 0z GFS develops a low along the front Thurs-Fri and gives the area some rain. CMC has initial energy to the north, then has some weaker activity the front to our south next weekend. We get nada. I favor that sort of solution lol.
  19. Leaves are falling here like its early November. There is some color now, but all the leaves falling are dry and crispy- trees are unloading them due to the drought.
  20. 52 this morning with some really cool looking ground fog- ranging from light and wispy to heavy in places, but no higher than the treeline.
  21. That was an odd post. He clearly likes to read the AFDs. I mean, he sure posts enough of them. Yet we also know he looks at the guidance regularly. Also, 15-20 degrees above normal next week? like all of next week? I didn't read it but hard to believe that's what it said. Not sure what he was doing there.
  22. Yeah those days look to be the real torch, and hopefully its just 2. After a really warm day today, tomorrow looks super nice, and Monday also looks like a nice day, around 80. Weekend looks to be a carbon copy of last weekend- mid to upper 80s and pretty humid. At least we have had some seasonable days in between the warmer ones during this period. It has not been an all out torch to this point.
  23. Latest runs of the CFS might beg to differ. Well, maybe not 80-90, but a major winter torcher nonetheless.
  24. The LR look on the GEFS and now the EPS may lend some support to what the CanSIPS has been advertising for winter. I mentioned when the Sept run came out we wouldn't have to wait too long to see if it was onto something with the impressive HL blocking, as it has that general look as early as October. We are seeing the same tendency on the LR Euro and GFS now as we head into early October.
  25. Low of 51 this morning. High yesterday was 78. Looks like another nice day today with a high around 80.
