  1. These maps have looked like this for more than 2 months and resulted in zero snow. It really is time to move on.
  2. I teach merchant marines, US Navy/ MSC. Electronics/Instrumentation/Automation. Its a fun gig. I need to get to Glacier. It's at the top of my bucket list.
  3. Agreed. And it actually was "good" here. Its all relative. Slightly above climo avg snowfall imby. Way better than last winter. And the bomb cyclone chase in Jan at the beach made it more memorable than it otherwise would have been for me.
  4. Bring on La Nina. I will take my chances lol.
  5. I was in Jackson Hole in the summer when I went to Yellowstone years ago. Loved it. Experiencing winter there would be awesome. I could defo live out there.
  6. My class got me a 4 pack of DFH 120 min IPA. Way better than an apple. Bless them, even tho I am not at all religious. Drinking one now.
  7. This thread really is about tracking legit warmth. Not snow. Just in case anyone is still somehow under any misconception to the contrary.
  8. This is a shocking development.
  9. We will see a few days well into the 70s in March. Can bank on that. Would not be at all surprised to see 80+.
  10. From Mt Holly AFD. Rinse and repeat... By the start of next week synoptic pattern shifts to what has largely been the default pattern this winter... a western Atlantic ridge with upstream troughing over the Central US. This will result in a storm track north and west of the area which will favor warmer temperatures and primarily rain events. At this time details are a bit lacking, but a system does look to track over the Great Lakes Monday PM into Tuesday with a secondary system possibly on its heels on Wednesday. Temperatures will only be a couple degrees above normal Monday but should increase into the low to mid 60s by Wednesday as SW flow increases in association with the aforementioned storm systems. Eventually this wretched pattern will mercifully end, and we will get into the usual warm/humid doldrums for the balance of Spring, before we finally transition to Hot and humid with little rain for the long, long, looooong Summer ahead. Don't y'all just love it here?
  11. Those maps have been remarkably consistent for the past 2+ months. You want snow? Go north 150+ miles.
  12. In a winter like this? That is abundantly clear.
  13. Not a bad look. Maybe we can score a snow shower. Too bad the other globals don't concur.
  14. I never start threads. This might end well.
  15. We are approaching the cliff. Lets all drive off together. Start us off @Weather Will . What do the latest one inch snow prob maps show? We in the 10% range?
  16. A couple summers ago I had bluebird doing it. He left when I hung the big eyed balloons, and I never saw him after that. The Cardinals seem much more persistent.
  17. Oh I know all about this. Get one every few summers- it will just keep battling itself, banging into windows, and crapping everywhere. I am never lucky enough to have one bash its own brains in though lol. You really think they would. I found these scary "beach ball" things that have big, exaggerated eyes on them, and they work well. Looks a bit weird when you see them hanging on the house though. Kinda like Voodoo shit. But that usually still won't deter them completely- they just find another 'target'. The one I had last year found the plastic chrome trim on the lower grille of my Jeep. It spent all summer launching itself into that lol. Its only the males that do it. The one I had last summer a lot of the time would have its mate sitting there on the ground watching him. Like "Hey babe look how tough I am fighting this dude to keep him away from you".
  18. 22 here. The forecast low was 30. Dry air and clear skies ftw.
  19. Mount Holly Snippet- LONG TERM /SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY/... Overall, our pattern of warm, wet, cold, dry continues this week. Yup. The beat goes on. Although the cold part is debatable.
