  1. Picked up over an inch of rain since midnight. 1.72" for the event. Still some steady light rain falling.
  2. Torrential rain occurring here this morning with T & L. Radar looks impressive. Had a brief heavy downpour overnight as well.
  3. 2.15" for the month here, but other than today's 0.68", the rest fell in the first 8 days of the month.
  4. Its Friday! And the start of a holiday weekend.
  5. Just poured a Flying Dog 'The Truth' Imperial IPA.
  6. I was in Easton for much of it and it poured there. Close to an inch I would think in that area. Just got home and looks like 0.68" in the bucket here. I'll take it.
  7. Pouring here in Easton.
  8. Going to be a lot of widely scattered showers with this, and there is also a chance of some thunderstorms, mainly tomorrow. Some places should do very well, others not so much. There was a nice round of moderate showers moving through here early this morning. I left as it was ongoing. There was 0.15" in the bucket when I left. I would be happy to see a half inch total through tomorrow.
  9. No real signs of any prolonged heat. This h5 look would be pretty pleasant in early June. Probably lots of 70s with lows in the upper 50s.
  10. BWI: 100F DCA: 104F IAD: 99F RIC: 103F I will also predict my yard won't see triple digits. Never does. The antithesis of urban sprawl.
  11. There is some actual rain falling. Its been exactly 2 weeks since there has been measurable rain here.
  12. Yeah and I remember them from when I was a little kid at my grandmas in Catonsville. Pretty insane. We don't really get them over here- maybe a few here and there. Something to do with the sandy/silty soil I think.
  13. Maybe this is the year for the emergence of the -NAO during actual winter. Once every 10 years perhaps.
  14. 67 here. The blocking pattern is finally breaking down. Somewhat warmer and more humid air mass is moving in for late tonight and tomorrow. We shall see how the rain chances play out. I expect it will be underwhelming for many, given the upper low is in a much weakened state, and any surface low pressure that may move up along the coast also looks to be weak.
  15. Looks like a general 1/2 to 1 inch of rain, maybe a bit more in a few locations, over the next couple days. Hopefully it doesn't disintegrate. Right on the edge of getting very dry over here.
  16. 46 this morning, headed for mid 60s and some sunshine. Looks like low to mid 70s beyond today, and 80 by mid next week.
  17. 53 here now with the sun lowering in the western sky. Sure feels more like October. Probably hit a low of about 47 here.
  18. So my mom had a double mastectomy + new breast reconstruction surgery earlier today. Amazed that's even possible in one go. I stopped by on my way home to see how she was doing, and she is feeding her dogs (she has 10 of them). My dad was helping, but i was like, wtf are you doing? You just had major surgery and you are 73! It really is incredible what can be done today with advances in medicine and technology. To her credit, she is in incredible shape, eats correctly and exercises to a fault, like her son. I have her to thank for instilling those attributes in me.
  19. Yes it can. But only after it's weakened ass gives my dry yard at least some respectable rain. Otherwise it can GTFOH right now.
  20. Won't even be close to that with an easterly wind of 10-20 mph, which is the forecast for here. 45-50 is more like it without decoupling, and clouds around.
  21. Sunday and Monday look like the ideal late Spring days so many have been longing for- partly to mostly sunny with high temps of 70 or so, with lows in the 50s. Sounds about perfect to me.
  22. High was 58 today, despite some significant sunny periods. 56 currently. Who was saying temps in mid/late May cant stay this cool if its sunny?
  23. There are snow patches that survive there well into July, and even August sometimes. I was up there last summer the second week in July, and there were some hard core skiers getting a few turns in.
  24. 50 here. 62 is the forecast high today. Looks to be breezy, but nothing like yesterday.
  25. Yeah I mentioned this this morning. Its been impressive. A bit more so than I expected (and was forecast). No big branches down here, but lots of small ones, and a bunch of twigs and general tree debris everywhere.
