This week looks warm but not excessively so heading into May. Mostly mid to upper 70s for forecast highs here, with Wed and Thurs being the warmest days at around 80. Being 5-10 degrees above historical avg is pretty typical in these parts anymore.

I enjoy a day like this heading into the latter part of Spring. Great day to be outside mowing, gardening, etc without sweating. I'll put up with the wind. Feels like an October day. Probably only a few more like this until we actually get to October.

Getting a garden variety storm with some decent thunder. Best part of it looks like a miss to the SW.

Central/N central MD is in a severe drought. It would take a inch+ to move the needle. A half inch or less is pretty meh unless its a prelude to a wetter period.

My wetland, which never got totally wet, is now drying up. Just a few areas that have 2-3 inches of water. I hit it with a bit more larvicide today.

Looks pretty paltry(if you don't hug one model) esp for the places that really need it.

Elias is stuck in 'development mode' and should be fired. The reality is this team is lost and sinking fast. Hyde will probably be the one to go, despite the pitching issues/injuries being largely out of his control. This team is completely listless and with high expectations someone has to take the fall.

The long hot days will drag on seemingly forever, before our brief respite of shorter days and longer nights return once again. Life in the subtropics of the MA.

Eff baseball. Eff Elias. NFL back in the spotlight this week. Round 1 of the draft in prime time Thursday. Ravens have 11 picks in the draft. They are so good at accumulating extra picks, and for a team that is always competitive and consistently drafts in the bottom, they always find talented players who can contribute right away.

Not sure how humans can stand it either lol. I have been doing this for years and it works. I cut a bar in half, make a hole in it and tie it onto a Shepard's hook so it hangs above my rose bushes.

Latest update from US Drought monitor- https://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/CurrentMap/StateDroughtMonitor.aspx?MD Went from moderate drought to slightly abnormally dry here with the rains of the last couple weeks. Central MD and westward to Frostburg remain in a severe drought.
