He could be telling the truth. Apparently they're burning their trash in Hartford now and he's not far from there.

The GEFS are down near Florida, so the 18z OP is a wild outlier

Another day of CAD for the Mountains although the temperature warmed about 7 degrees today ~vs~ the past several days. No rain today, but we'll see what unfolds later this week. -

1. The GFS continues as of today’s Happy Hour run to not safely recurve this as it grazes the Conus E coast from NC to ME followed by a direct hit on Nova Scotia. The storm then goes into Newfoundland. 2. The 12Z JMA once again also doesn’t recurve this. It has it just N of PR moving WNW at the end (192 hrs). 3. Barry, you may want to update the thread title to E MDR AOI or something similar because there’s another in Africa not too far behind. Thanks. -
Smoke made it difficult to track golf ball today in Keene. If you took eye off it while in air you couldn’t find it again.

Thank you Barry! Not all heroes wear capes.

Thank you Joe. We appreciate your honesty. Lot of bad information flying around here.

What are you about 20 miles from each? I'm sure you can see the smoke stacks of both from 1,000 ft.

Wasn’t bad. Sky was hazy and couldn’t see Block Island. But the drinks were cold and the lobster rolls were good

Beautiful night here in Walpole as I sit outside, temp of 68 and DP of 60 at my neighbor's Davis. I work in Boston, right at Post Office Square and have no dog in the ongoing battle, I enjoy the back and forth. When I finally took a walk around the square at 1:30 today there was a beautiful breeze, very comfortable temps, and while there was some smoky haze, I expected it to be worse based on what I read on twitter before I went out. Just my opinion, but an all around great day.

ECMWF Monthly Anomalies for Select Cities: Main idea: The best of winter would be December-January in the Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, and New England areas, if the guidance is correct. hope you were able to relax outside and enjoy that clean, fresh coc

Yeah it looks bad by you. Apparently there's even a poor air quality alert. That's what you get for living between the industrial cities of Hartford and Springfield.

Went from my house to Westerly RI and back today. Went through a bunch of CT and Central Mass All Smokey.
