I'm in Bristol NH, 63 and drenching rain

Remember when today was decent .. yesterday

Starting to look like those calls for much above normal temperatures this summer aren’t going to materialize on LR guidance. Looks like average to slightly above average. As for the ticks we are much above normal. It has been a brutal year for those but people haven’t been outside as much.
-
I’m joking. I stay as far away as possible. I actually try to go for a drive and hike if it’s not too bad. Nice little area off of Sandwich Notch road that has a waterfall. Or up the Kanc for a few hours.
-
A bunch of kids on a rainy June Saturday there. No thanks. Candlepin bowling…maybe. Thought about hitting up Moulton though…they had some decent hydrangeas the last time I was there.
-
Nothing worse than a shit Saturday. Just sets the tone already for the week. Already pissed off for the work week.
-
Doesn’t look HHH in the long term after the weekend. Maybe a few days with mid 60’s dew points. Looks like +2-5 temps with dewpoints in upper 50’s and low 60’s for an extended period. It actually looks… nice…? What models are showing signs of HHH?

Light RA just arrived to start Act 2, though the bright echoes are back at the NH/ME boundary. Had 0.71" between 6 and 10:30 last night, perfect garden watering.
-
Showers in Hartsdale.
-
I thought we could see the sun. Doesn’t look promising.
-
I know, right? It’s almost like climates are changing. I for one shocked! When the fire ants arrive, you know we’re f’d.
-
Go to Funspot today. They have those old school arcade games.
-
Okay I lied. Dumping.

Meant to respond back to your question about the weather. Glad it worked out! I just won the day from the superintendent of Weymouth schools regarding graduation this morning. Went with dry weather since Thursday morning even though Nam and gfs were trying to cancel. Euro ftw.

Occasional Thoughts on Climate Change
LibertyBell replied to donsutherland1's topic in Climate Change
Yes and sadly enough this more humid and warmer climate with less 95 and 100 degree days is actually much worse. I've noticed it makes breathing more difficult for me. I looked up July 9, 1993 which was a very hot day where I live (south shore of Long Island), at JFK it was 100 degrees with a dew point of 58 and humidity of 25%. I had no problems being outside gardening, mowing my lawn, etc that day. I noticed I find it much more difficulty on a day like today, temperatures in the 70s with 100% humidity. I noticed that although 90 and 95 degree days have flatlined here (not going higher) 85 degree days are increasing. So we're getting more days with a high of 85-89 and lows of 70-75+..... I think this is going to cause many more health issues than our *old climate* when we had highs of 90-95+ and lows in the 50s and 60s. -
What a disaster

We just had 2-3

That’s cool ? lol. All AN

Yeah it was borderline for me. A few higher on the dews and it would’ve been tough sleeping. The window fan was enough though. I’ve been waiting for warmth for a half year so I’m embracing it and taking it all in.

2025-2026 ENSO

Models overdoing heat the last few years has been a JOKE. in 2023 there were like 6-7 times the gfs had Detroit at like 106-108°. And im not talking day 16, im talking day 7-10. For reference, the hottest temp on record is 105° (1934). The end result is that 2023 was the first year since 1915 where Detroit didn't eclipse 90°. -

I recall that username, messenger. Sorry to hear he passed. 2004-05 was an excellent winter here. One of the rare times when we both got slammed from the same storm (Jan 22-23). The most annoying thing about that winter was a handful of bad measurements at DTW; they ended up with 64" and I had 80". There's always the occasional storm you question, but that was the last winter I really was unhappy with DTW measurements (I know with nyc that's every year ). There were a few events that had razor cutoff so I did get more than them anyway, but id estimate they were really in the low 70s. -
After a month on a road trip I am hoping to catch some storms today. I missed the good ones in NC in the last few weeks.

I haven't installed either although to be fair I spent the night at the girlfriend's house on Thursday night. Probably would have installed if I was at my house.
