  1. Past hour
  2. Only game in town unless you like chasing power flashes in the dark. I'd stay on it if you're close. It'll be dark before the western stuff gets to IKK area.
  3. And IAD as well it would seem.
  4. Yup, that's what I noticed. LWX AFD has not one mention of it.
  5. If that cell near Kankakee produces it is going to rake Kankakee proper
  6. It’s definitely not done! Be careful.
  7. This late winter/early spring has been nothing like 2018 thus far IMBY, that’s for sure.
  8. Maybe this? From NWS OKX AFD .KEY MESSAGES... 1) Unseasonably mild / warm air will be in place through Wednesday and most of Wednesday night. Areas of low clouds/fog develop again during the evening and nighttime hours to the east for coastal sections for tonight and potentially for a portion of Wednesday evening. 2) A strong frontal system impacts the area Wednesday night into Thursday with the next chance for rain, likely changing to and ending as some wet snow later Thursday, followed by noticeably cooler and more seasonable air at the end the week. 3) An Alberta Clipper will bring a small chance for light mixed precipitation Friday into Friday night with breezy winds lasting into Saturday. 4) A potent Colorado Low will bring chances for precipitation Sunday through Monday night also with strong winds. Most of the event will be plain rain, but some snow may mix in at the onset and upon the system`s exit.
  9. in all my years its been rare for great winters back to back....94? followed by a ratter. 96? 5 years of ratters.....2001? followed by a ratter....sometimes like 2006 or 16 you get a ku in an otherwise dismal year....2021...years of crumbs until now....
  10. Softball size hail in the warning on the Kankakee cell
  11. Was on that Pontiac cell as it went through town and made some stupid decisions and went back west after it seemingly elevated. Heading east towards IKK now, reports are appreciated if you've got a live view of it
  12. GFS is fucking nuts lol. There was 'some' support earlier, but not now. If you read the local NWS AFDs, not even a mention of snow.
  13. I think so, looks like it might be trying to wrap up again
  14. Not very impactful in the traditional sense given that it wasn't a SSW, per se, however, I do feel that the very rare early season reversal predisposes the PV to disruption, and the polar domain to irregularities overall on a seasonal-level. Here is a composite of the two other seasons that had one: And this year: I definitely don't think it's a coincidence that we went onto to register a -NAO with high solar, which is exceedingly rare as you know from your research.
  15. Whats this snow I keep hearing people say for this weekend....
  16. Did that Pontiac cell just turn right again?
  17. Yeah it looks good to me irl but fuck do I know.
