  1. Past hour
  2. Wheres all the heat some were talking about? Feels like Fall.. its beautiful out!
  3. Crazy how early Fall and storms shake up things. Pouring the rain here and 61 degrees currently. Crazy local weather.
  4. KORE has a dew of 34.. down to 37 here. We take!
  5. Its a cool spot in spite of itself. Several great indie music venues, fun cocktail bars and a few dives, thriving firefly habitats on the outskirts of town, world-class views and hiking in all directions. Just don't make eye contact with the original hippies and you're good
  6. 40s and sun up here this afternoon at the picnic tables. Crisp breeze.
  7. Its not sugar. But im not sure which kind ot is.
  8. They did. It was so small and isolated but trained. It probably affected 25% of Detroit city and nowhere else.
  9. I didn't think of you as a Woodstock person Julian
  10. Absolutely torrential rainfall coming down with this storm. Lots of thunder and lightning with the temperature dramatically dropping to 63 degrees.
  11. Balancing is how things work after all. I remember the 80s and they were very similar to this and no one was crying about wildfires back then. It's probably all this overgrowth from the years of flooding rains that are causing the wildfires now and that excess foliage needs to burn off.
  12. 1983 was one amazing summer (and September was part of that summer.) What did JFK hit, Don? I made it to 85 here.
  13. Made it to 85 today, it's probably not going to be this warm again until next year so savor it!!
  14. Absolutely pouring now. After a high of 80 back down to 72.
  15. A rather warm day today. Walked outside at 1030 this morning and was like ooffffffffff.
  16. Real feel here is 89. Humidity is low thankfully. Temps in the shade aren’t bad. Mornings aren’t bad.
  17. I did hear the east side of the city got a surprise strong storm (with flash flooding) yesterday though, which is something. Apparently, DET picked up nearly 2" of rain from it.
  18. I think this is a sugar maple, but I am not sure. The silver maples have slightly different leaves.
  19. I call this one a "fire bush" but I don't know the name of it
  20. Today
  21. apparently the Spotted Lantern Flies have invaded the Jersey Shore today.
  22. More or less. I'm envisioning it being a temp thing for like 3-5 years but the location is good since I find myself hanging out in Kingston/Woodstock/Catskill quite a bit. Proximity to a more varied network of trails is also a plus, and I have some good space to keep the gardens going. Definitely a climo downgrade, though it's not like I've been racking up the KUs in Millbrook over the last decade. At least I'll be more likely to head into the Catskills and actually take advantage of the pack there during our all but assured gradient winters
