That’s not what I said. You said it likely drops position from 13th. It would have to be cold enough to lower the summer average from 73.2 to 72.9. I find that unlikely.

I don't remember seeing showers moving backwards twice in the same week...seeing a cluster move east to west on radar is weird, lol
-
So you are saying the last 19 days average above 73.2 good stuff to watch.
-
Going to do some damage.

Ginx snewx Posted August 4, 2016 Beware the recurve Mid August for the first major cool down.
-
You think it drops? Those 90/70 days will add up. I guess we’ll see how the final 10 days shape out, but it’ll take quite a cool down to balance out the next couple weeks.
-
13th and most likely that number drops as the month finishes.
-
What's your point dexter? August 24 was ranked 62 out of 120 plus in PVD. Your bump trolling fail

also does 1999 not count as a hot summer anymore?

Maybe we can disrupt this dry heat pattern a bit after the 17th if the EPS is correct about the tropics becoming more active near the East Coast. But that is still a pretty far ways off to know if the model is correct. Plus we keep seeing the heat reload into the longer range all summer even when the models have forecast a relaxation. But in the old days we could often count on the tropics to break these heatwaves extending into mid-August. Just not sure if this will be the case yet. But it’s worth monitoring. August 18-25

You said you had decent rain overnight - might be as silly as the ground holding some moisture that's radiating up that you're feeling.

I said a few weeks back we got 10-15 90F days left!! And I think we've had 2 or 3 since I said that
-
I mean we may get 10 more 90 degree days by 8/31 lol
-
This summer doesn't hold a handkerchief to others for 90 degree days. This is BDL a known death valley spot compared to the rest of CT Only 18 so far. Stats are met summer. We really have not had consistent high heat.
-
For these 10% chance of rain days, I sure am getting the 10%. Would have loved for it to rain in the morning or at night. Bad timing.

* Building heat for much of next week with widespread 90s moderate humidity levels. Meh

Nah always a August torch week then 1 in September. So glad we had a week of AC off. Now to finish summer we torch. Enjoy your sweat

I haven't noticed anything on me and haven't really been in any environment prone to ticks. Luckily I have my annual physical Tuesday so if I'm still unwell then I can see the doctor. I'm hoping/assuming I'll be like 90% tomorrow and back 100% Saturday. I usually don't get sick for more than a day or two, even when I got covid the first time...I was horribly sick for like a day and a half. Took Tylenol like noon of the second day I was really sick and by like 4:00 I was like 90% better lol (but I grant this to having both my shots).

Friday: Another gorgeous day is on tap for southern New England as high pressure remains parked overhead. High temperatures once again top out in the upper 70s to low 80s with low humidity. What a week! Best ever?

Yea, the tweeter is actually a retired certified meteorologist lol Crazy right?
