  2. Erin’s ACE is now crossing 32 and is headed to ~34 for its likely total. That’s pretty impressive and it has brought 2025 ACE up to 12th highest for the date of the last 75 years.
  3. 2AM TWO: up slightly from 50/50 to 50/60: 2. Central Tropical Atlantic (AL99): Showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave located about a thousand miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands remain well organized. This system could become a tropical depression at any time, but the latest satellite-derived wind data indicate that the system does not have a well-defined circulation center. The system is expected to move into a less conducive environment later today through Saturday, but could reach a slightly more favorable environment again late this weekend into early next week as it moves westward at 10 to 15 mph over the central tropical Atlantic and approaches the Lesser Antilles. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days...medium...60 percent ————— There’s lots of wx bb chatter that suggests this is already a TC. Hmmm.
  4. Up from 60/80 to 70/80: Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 200 AM EDT Fri Aug 22 2025 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of America: Active Systems: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Erin, located over the northwestern Atlantic Ocean. 1. Near the Leeward Islands (AL90): An area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave is located a couple hundred miles east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands. Environmental conditions appear conducive for further development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to form this weekend while it moves northwestward and then northward, in between the Lesser Antilles and Bermuda. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high..70 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days...high...80 percent

  8. He's under team control through 2027 so maybe he pitches in 27 but I wouldn't be surprised If his career is over. They basically had to reattach his shoulder. It's a shame. He was so dominant before he had TJ in 2023. There's no high leverage arms left in the bull pen. Cano stinks. Lots of retooling to do. You can start to see the Forrest through the trees for next year. Need a starter or 2. Add a closer and a couple late inning options and a veteran bat. There line up suddenly looks alot better with Basillo and Beavers inserted in to it. I saw a stat yesterday that they have the 5th best record in baseball since May 24th. Almost for half a season. Just shows how awful they were to start.
  9. yea not much more down here either.
  10. Come on now, that’s half the fun of the summer. The family jewels are as low as they’re gonna go and when ya sit down after a good steamy walk, ya gotta make sure your legs don’t accidentally crush anything!
  11. Oh c'mon, you of all people know better. Summer ain't over for another month Mountainside park is great in that very area too. You can see NYC from parts of the trails. Well for that matter, you can see the tip of the skyline coming down the top of the Riverdale hill lol.
  12. "Riverdale Next 3 Exits" I see that everyday. But yeah, Fall 2021 was great too. We had that Indian Summer pattern and a warm October.
  13. Chicken and dumplings are my favorite, the breakfast is good too.
  14. HWRF loves it. Brings it to cat 3. Also makes a direct hit on Bermuda
  15. Made to to 86.4 today which was one of the warmest days this month! Also picked up 0.08” from a stray shower that ends the short rainless stretch and brings the monthly total to 9.14”
  16. We've barely had any rain the last 2 days getting split by some heavy cells.
  17. Ocean City, NJ beach cam at pier. Good sized waves. https://www.livebeaches.com/webcams/14th-street-fishing-pier-beach-cam-in-ocean-city-nj/
  18. And it sure doesn't seem like a decent rain is coming anytime soon. I've seen many bone-dry Septembers, but having the rain shut off in early August doesn't happen very often.
  19. You leave the hashbrown casserole alone! That shit is the best.
  20. I love this weather but we could use some rain. Other than that, it’s fantastic for outdoor activities. I love not sweating my nuts off walking the golf course.
  21. Right through the north part of my hometown. Many years ago, before they opened that section of 287, we biked up that road and climbed that rock face in cub scouts.
