  1. Past hour
  2. I think that maybe #1 all-time for my current spot, maybe behind Feb '69.
  3. 2 inches of fluff. Snow blowed the driveway just to make sure it doesn't a ice up later. It's strange having it warm out. First time this winter.
  4. 6z AI EPS beefed back up to what it had been showing consistently for days up until 2 days ago, but it’s good to see it back on board at 0z & especially 6z. The 6z Regular EPS is on board too.
  5. Maybe cape can answer this but is the phasing on the euro affecting the movement of tpv Maybe we just want an unphased bowling ball that’s more northerly like Canadian has

Capital Weather Gang Favorites ·onpoeSdtsr2u4l317cuu6t2aig97mmcu7hccu0uug23m88mtufh416121th5 · * An extreme winter in D.C. — the harshest in at least a decade * The Midwest Regional Climate Center tracks seasonal harshness using the Accumulated Winter Severity Index, which accounts for both the intensity and longevity of cold and snow. So far this winter, D.C.’s rating on the 0–5 scale: 5 — Extreme. That’s the highest rating here in the past 10 years. Even if the rest of winter turns mild, the damage is done. Based on what we’ve already endured, the season is locked in at at least a 4 — Severe.
  7. To convey your point more, Wouldn’t it be threading a very small needle? Anybody can thread a massive needle…it’s the small needles that are difficult to thread. And I’ll be gone…so congratulations on a massive hit. You guys are welcome.
  8. Low of 29 with no signs of measurable precip. Not holding my breath for the late weekend storm but will still be monitoring closely. Would give my left pinky for Blizz’s 0z Euro map to verify.
  9. Not canceling it, just seems really warm. But I’ve been hoping for the possibly of this coming back…
  10. it is 00z had it, need to slow down the departing cold air tap north of us which is possible as of now it's not likely that it all happens perfectly, again it's all thread the needle..
  11. That ULL that stays north of the St Lawrence on the loop I posted has been modeled to drop over us and deliver a fresh supply of cold. That’s not going to happen on that 6z run.
  12. local bust-- half inch last night no biggie but RGEM, GFS, 12km Nam had all advertised a good amount more at various points. Let's keep the Euro streak going for the next one.
  13. is that even possible? I thought we had a shit streak to the north?
  14. Need some High Pressure over Quebec rather than a low, compare the colder 00z to 6z..
  15. Yes. I happened to be skiing at Pat's Peak last night. Left the hill sometime after 8:15 and they were on their way to 2" already. It was snowing so hard on 202 getting back to 89 that I got lost - this is really hard to do! But the visibility was very poor. They are reporting 6". Ragged is reporting 5".
