I feel like this happens a lot on Memorial Day weekend, but the data might say otherwise. We all needed the rain though so it’s worth it.

I remember Memorial Day weekend in 2020 it was another rainy and cold weekend…temps in the mid 40’s with that one here. This one was mid 50’s…but small consolation.

I waited for the rain to stop before I put out the flag. The only one on the block so far. My father and uncles survived WW2. Two uncles were on the same ship that was torpedoed and both made it. Even I, in my advanced age, as it gets harder to remember I still, will endeavor never to forget. As always …

Genuinely awful. Agreed. This is a rare pattern over a weekend that makes it easy to think back and compare.

I can gladly report that the rain has finally stopped here. Now let’s bring the clearing in.

1.86" event total here. Obviously bad timing for the holiday weekend, but I'm glad we got it since we really needed the rain. And at least the rain moved out in time for me to cook on the grill outside late yesterday, but I brought the food inside because it was so cool and nasty out there. Later today will be much nicer for sitting outside since it will warm up into the 70s -- I'm glad we can salvage part of the holiday weekend.

Without a doubt. I think this day is done for anybody east of ORH. Might get some clearing early evening but by then the day and holiday are over. Nobody is going out after the weekend we’ve all had with work/school tomorrow

Heaviest rain of the weekend thus far

Out east there, you’re in the same predicament today with the rain lingering, as we were out west here Saturday morning, when the rain moved in at 10:30 am and ruined the full day. Where as you guys were dry Saturday during the day, and now hopefully we dry out early today on this end of things.

For sure! We at 48 hrs of nonstop rain here now. But hoping this is about it.

We’re hoping…we have a couple barbecues to go to, be nice if it can dry out? I’m thinking it will west of the river anyway.

Steady light rain ongoing but looks to be last batch. Should see drying and some brightening by later this afternoon. Event total here as of 8am 1.90". Hoping to get something on the grill for dinner. Remember those who gave all this Memorial Day. My great Uncle, killed on Iwo Jima. I of course never met him. He enlisted at age 18, right out of high school and was deployed to Iwo Jima. My mother told the story of how she was visiting her grandparents in rural Teaneck, NJ. and she was sitting in the living room with her grandmother (my great uncles mother) when two marines knocked on the door with the news that he had been killed. My nephew, a marine now holds his medals and dog tags.

You’ve gone from 80’s to 70’s and now 60’s in the span of 2 days. You did the same for this past weekend and ended up wrong. Will it and spin as much as you want but today is shot too as it pours rain with temps in the mid 50’s. By the time it clears out later, the day is over with. Your shtick is/has been very old
