  1. Past hour
  2. I've never seen ocean effect come off of the south shore before
  3. I’d expect them to probably issue a statement or briefing as to what went wrong. I remember when they did that after Juno. Their credibility unfortunately took a big hit
  4. That area from Pittsfield MA over to Cobbleskill NY has been under some solid banding as well.
  5. That's an optical illusion....nothing to see here.
  6. Yes you can see it even better on jfk…. Nice ocean effect bands
  7. Seriously man take a break. Making the same posts over and over isnt healthy. We heard you. It busted. Move onnnnnn
  8. ORH now at 1/4 heavy snow. These bands aren’t as crazy as the CT stuff but they are still pretty solid
  9. That’s the point I’m at as well. Steady light freezing drizzle, 23 degrees. I can pretty much walk on top of the sleet on my patio, trees accumulating ice. Clean up is going to be a mess.
  10. Are those bands going south to north over ocean? I think that must be what you guys were talking about?
  11. 5.75ish in Ansonia it really is coming down lightly now .
  12. 7” so far..still moderate to heavy. Great storm no matter where it goes from here.
  13. This has to be up there in terms of some of the biggest busts within the last decade for NYC. 1. 3/7/18 (one of those days) busts for NYC. 8-12” was forecast and we ended up with 3-6.” 2. 3/14/17 was forecast 12-18+ and we had 7-10” of snow and sleet mix. 3. 1/27/15 was forecast 24”+ and we had 9-12”. 4. 12/16/20 was forecast 12-18 and we had 8-12.” 5. 3/21/18 (one of those days) was forecast 12-18 and we had 9-12” 6. 11/27/14 (one of those days) was forecast 3-5” and we ended up with 1”. There are a few more minor busts where we were a few inches off but arent worthy of mention. Needless to say, we’ve had some big busts. Similarly, we’ve had some big booms. But this one just seemed like a lock which is why it probably felt worse lol
  14. The world is ending comments is sickening.
  15. Ocean effect snow doing its thing here atm
  16. The precip filling in on the bgm radar isn’t light either
  17. What a weird storm. Dryslot into CT yet we worry about dry air.
  18. For the SEMA folks, this band is not as intense as it was when it was over CT but this is still a solid band. Could see rates approach 1”/hr for a couple hours. For us it’s more a longer lighter duration event.
