Heading to the BC/VA Tech FB game today for noon, son is a SO down at VT. Hopefully the weather deteriorates during the game, rather mundane right now.

just this morning, having the sky brighten in between rain bands reminds me of this being something of tropical nature, despite the chilly 55 degrees currently. I can definitely hear the winds aloft, trees moving in the hills, but the winds are mostly subdued here in the valley. Not much rain yet either, less than a half inch....

Thought I just heard some in the distance. Interesting storm.

Been a while since we've had a coastal. Hard to retrain the brain to view the radar correctly. Especially before coffee.

Starting to get some daylight now and man it is ripping out there already. This is a hell of a storm coming at us.

First shotgun blast sound from a snapping tree just now. Don't think it's in my yard, however. Generally breezy with the occasional whistling gust and attendant downpours. Let's see what the day brings.
