I guessed I had 24-26" so you prob are very near 27-30".

Jebman
First, Congrats on the snow. Second, These pics are absolutely breaking my heart. All that fresh powder to roll in and to dig. All those high 50-60 mph wind gusts to blow the snow around. You get to watch the snow blow around, getting in an awesome snow fix in the meantime. The block needs to build back in and in the meantime, DCA got a dusting and now we are faced with highs around 58 degrees by New Years. You will fare much better - You'll top out at 32 degrees on New Years. You get many more snows this season. You don't need a lifelock on a block for snow. THis is a New York/SNE/NE winter. Bank it. When this winter is over - You'll long for spring - You'll have had at least 14 feet of snow on the season. On the other hand, spring in Washington is beautiful - and it is coming very very early. But that is an excellent thing for you. Enjoy your Sierra winter

NorthShoreWx
Video from a suburban backyard (mine) during the storm. We only got about a foot of snow, but we cleaned up on wind. There are woods behind the row of Hemlocks and my favorite part is how you can hear the wind roaring in the trees before gusts get to the position of the camera...that and there's no me in it. Its also cool how the snow shows where the turbulence is like smoke in a wind tunnel.

Isotherm
Photos of aftermath. We're still not plowed out here in Colts Neck, Monmouth County. Police called with a message saying 12 streets, including a major one, route 18, are impassable at this time. That thing you see almost covered is about 40" high. Fence you see here is 5 feet high. Those open fields look like they extend up to your northeast (judging from the sun angle). Do you think there was much drifting from them? Love the fence shot!
