Stormlover74
Colorado State University’s updated 2026 Atlantic hurricane forecast continues to call for a well below average season. But as the researchers note, it takes only one storm near a community to make it an active season there. CSU’s updated full season forecast calls for nine named storms, including four hurricanes and one major hurricane. Two named storms, Arthur and Bertha, have already formed, and neither became a hurricane. For the remainder of the season, CSU forecasts seven additional named storms, four of which are expected to become hurricanes, including one major hurricane.

Psychguy
P.S. Since we’ve had so much severe weather along with flooding rains over the last couple of weeks I thought I’d mention I watched the documentary on Netflix about the Joplin, Missouri tornado from May 2011. I highly recommend! It was extremely moving. It’s amazing… how it sparked so many flashbacks to being a child growing up in the Midwest. The sirens… still enough to provoke chills in this 50 something adult.
