There was never a drought of rain this summer. Some confused posters thought that was the issue. There were some dry periods but no drought. The drought message and issue this summer was no tstorms. Just boring meh light- moderate rain events. That was the drought

Aaaaaand pouring again. What an absurdly wet summer in these parts. I've never seen the grass so green in August. Might as well characterize us as a temperate rain forest.

.01 in drizzle overnight. Unbelievable how it keeps raining in the same places. Noticed lately some of the maples have burnt, shriveled leaves with quite a bit of drop. Seems to be mostly the Norways.

More than some around here. Lots of burned and downed leaves.

The well is starting to get iffy here again. Of course drought monitor only has us in D0 now.

My grass is long but I don’t mow if it’s dry. It just has the flaccid look because it’s dry. 

 

I’m down the cape and definitely more green here.

Doesn't look like HRRR or NAM initialized great with the rain in CT?  Seems to be holding together than forecasted?

Were down on the Cape this week.  Wonder if it gets here in any significant way?

Yeah I battle Lisa with that. She loses her mind when it starts getting a little long, but when there’s no rain in the forecast for a week and the ground is already dry, I’m not doing it.

You’ve had a better summer with storms and excitement. Pardon me if I’m bored with another light rain event . 
 

And there’s not gonna be any snow deform bands this winter lol
