All of the wet weather and the Susky is barely flinching in response. Total rise in Marietta looks to be about a foot, and some 10' below flood stage. One of the testaments of how dry it's been over the long haul.

I believe it.  It was such a slow light soaking long duration event that there was virtually no runoff, ground just ate it all up.  Grass and shrubbery have to be loving it.  I know people didn't love it because of its timing over Memorial Day weekend, but it really was a pretty unique late May weather stretch.  It didn't really bother me at all.

There are no 90°F days on the horizon through the 1st week of June. An "Omega Block" will develop across North America late this week & persist into early June. Persistent, NW flow on the SE side of the block will keep relatively cool conditions in place across the Eastern U.S.

65 when I left the house with .1” having fallen and steady rain still occurring.

Remarkable consistency in my observations lately, with three consecutive days of nearly exactly a third of an inch, then an even one-incher, followed by three consecutive tenth-of-an-inch type days.  I understand this probably only interests me ha.  carry on.

No, this is the stuff my dreams are made of. I love all things numbers. I went to my first MLB game back in 1971 at the Vet. I can tell you the paid attendance for that game to the exact number. I've had it memorized for 55 years. That's just how I'm wired. 

I had .05" of rain early this morning. It looks like we'll get wet again soon but not to the extent that I'll experience here at work and farther south.

Some more needed rain is crossing the area this morning. We are now up to over 85% of our normal rainfall for the year to date here in East Nantmeal with some spots now approaching average precipitation levels for the year. Today will be our last in a stretch of mainly cloudy and wet days. A beautiful end to the work week and upcoming weekend is on the way. Plenty of sun on the way with temperatures running a few degrees below normal as we close out May and move into June.

Love it.  Man, this rain is much more robust than anything modeled or forecast for up this way.  We actually had a downpour a little while ago here in Harrisburg and still raining very steadily.

Maytown must be one of the unlucky areas this morning - just checked and I've only added .02" to bring my total to .07". Even less has fallen at the airpark.

Picked up 0.55” of rain so far today in Lancaster.

Now 4.07” for month.
