I'm not saying that we're out in the woods. But even since last check, surface cape is waning and backing off the maryland border along with the two small areas of slightly enhanced surface velocity at least for now.  We got a long ways to go though and if the sun pops out today, even for just a little bit, that's going to make all the difference. Also keep in mind, I'm only watching the surface for surface based storms. there's a lot more layers to the cake.

On way up to cabin Friday night, once we got to wellsboro, it started to snow, and by the time we got to Tyoga Country club, it was easily the hardest snow I've seen this year. Huge flakes, and from there to Ansonia was a crawl.  Up on top at cabin ended up w/ 1-2" depending on where you were.  Cut wood saturday morning in a snow covered landscape.  Was nice.  

regarding today, yeah its been showing up consistently on some models and I'd think NC and NE Pa stand best chances for some late season shenanigans.  hoping we stay cloudy long enough to mitigate sever to just a nice squall line w/ Tboomers

I'll make 80 different accounts until they change their f****** ways. Even if it takes me a year and nine months,  just like it did here. That's why they couldn't accept any members.here for nearly a year few years ago. They told everybody it was a server issue.What a lot of people probably don't know Is that was actually just to keep me out because I would a f****** torn this place to pieces until the moderators changed their ways.

Yep, there's a lot of places like that, same with these YouTube Idiots like Ryan hall and Max velocity. They're f****** up everything.

Brad Sweitzer, Sr., is the guy who runs the organization. He's best known for defrauding a Northwest Savings Bank and Loan out of $5600 before heading to North Carolina to chase a hurricane. The bank cried "fraud," and called the opps. Sweitzer cried "bounced cheque," and he ended up doing three years probation for it. 

They ban people who call them out on social media or disagree. Apparently yesterday's "People who are living and well reading this will die tomorrow," headline was so incendiary that they edited the post but did not backtrack from the headline because "it is true." 

It looks like in some parts of the area, a Winter Weather Advisory is more likely to be issued than a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, and if that happens, I plan to send a screenshot of the headline to every company they do business with along with a link to State College NWS as a direct to an actual authority.

Max Velocity is a degreed meteorologist.

Ryan Hall went to Mississippi State for meteorology but didn't graduate, worked in TV weather, and presents weather along with a very, very good met in Andy Hill. 

 

There is very little wrong with what these two do.

I don't give those channels the time of day anymore but when I did watch them Andy seemed very professional.,Ryan has completely  rewrote the book on  weather hype and fear mongering. Intelligent guy for  that  guess.

I didn't even get started on Max.because I don't know where to start. A good place to start is with his youtube reviews, i'm not the only person that finds his b******* ridiculous. Monster bomb slammer jammer killer cyclones.

We have picked up 0.43" of rain so far here in East Nantmeal since midnight. We could see upwards of another inch of rain by late tonight. Today will be unseasonably warm followed by unseasonably cold tomorrow through Thursday. A wind advisory is in effect for wind gusts as high as 40 mph through tonight. A strong cold front will cross the area from west to east around the 9pm tonight. Temperatures will drop close to 20 degrees over an hour or so. Rain could briefly turn to sleet and then snow before ending. Temperatures return to near normal by next weekend.

Damaging linear/downdraft winds remain our main very strong threat today for both lines - the fropa and the squall. The squall being delayed until after sunset might mitigate that but it’ll still push down 50 mph gusts for some.

what did you record for winds Saturday morning? It seems we have been living with a giant fan as of late.

Ive watched Ryan, and hes not too bad, but yeah some of them are really just as good/useful as giving me a Youtube channel as I can spout off the same crap they do w/ little added value.

Yeah, I don't know. Ryan is pretty universally considered the number one doomcaster. If you ask Ai to name you the top doomcasters, you should get a pretty universal answer. Both Max and Ryan came up in the top five every time. Professional mets seem to agree. Its really not something I care about that much.  They haved changed the way everyone else has to present the weather and it's not for the best.

100% can't stand how much Ryan Hall just clickbaits all the time to drive views. Because that's mostly what youtube and social media has devolved into. I've actually left comments sometime just blatantly explaining it to viewers because it's frustrating. Andy I actually knew him from elsewhere before knowing he was on his channel since he does video game streams but he's like the only genuine one there who's not in it for the money and hype/fear mongering. But yeah I do not like watching Ryan because of what he does. It's very important not to drive people into a frenzy

I absolutely agree and so do a growing number of other people and concernd mets. I guess I should add  that his live storm coverage is beneficial, and I feel like that's what he should stick to.   Unfortunately YouTube's and other social medias revenue sharing is intentionally not conducive to responsible and honest anything. Some people stay honest and responsible, regardless. Those mets are easy to find because they don't have nearly as many subscribers.

For convective weather I highly recommend convective chronicles and cameron nixon on youtube. I've been watching these guys for a while. I didn't really want to share them, but oh well. They both provide Meso scale and Skew T tutorials. No hype,and about as knowledgeable and willing to share for free  as anyone on youtube.
