Is the fact that we aren’t going more negative tilt the reason behind the lower totals for the triangle area? Does that prevent the low from slowing down coming up the coast or is it just too late to bomb off the coast?

You could see the tilt on the 500 MB map was better than 18z. Just that little bit of difference shows on the surface maps

Good to see it reverse the east trend it was on for a few runs with the vort dropping in

Wish it would have gotten rid of the dry area over Upstate SC like the Euro and RGEM did. I thought it was going to. I’d rather have the Euro on my side though anyways.

Canadien out to 36 and I was comparing it to GFS at same time. The vort dropping out of the Midwest is even stronger than what GFS was showing. This has def piqued my interest again.

Flush hit for NC/SC scrapes S VA crew. Dove a little further south and east than I thought it would.

Very similar. Has precip shield pushed a ticket east. Still a solid hit across the area.

GFS run would make WPC folks look spot on with the heavier precip getting back into northern sections. Nice to see Euro trended earlier too. Optimistic to say the least.
