Have to cheer against that phasing out west. Would be our luck…everything for years struggles to phase, then when we actually need more strung out it gets phased and amped up. It’s always the stupid GFS with the good solution…

Lurking here from Columbia SC.  This ice storm  scenario worries me.  Might have to buy a generator to mitigate stress.

This is setting up to be an absolute disaster somewhere and that somewhere is likely a historically large region.

I would have to look but I know here 1973 was a legendary ice storm in Atlanta.  I think it was something like 3/4 to 1" of ice.  My parents talk about it all the time.
