Once we hit March 1st I’m good, we can transition.  Late snowfall isn’t the same for me as in the heart of winter, it still can be beautiful but it doesn’t stick around long and we get more mud this time of year. Down to 5” at the stake, been losing about an inch a day the past few days.

Its more context specific for me.  If we've had a good snow year and I'm satisfied then, sure, I don't need more snow just to pad the stats.  But if its march 1st and we havent had much prior thereto, I want all the snow I can get.

13° for the low here as well with 4.5" at the stake. .3" yesterday, 45.4" for the season.

Neck and neck between you and Central Park.

Badhow just that north central portion of the county was scrooed so far. Even the northwest sections I believe are all in the 50's @snywx .

Lets see what we can squeak out tomorrow. As long as it doesn't mess with my flight out of Newark tomorrow afternoon.

Looks like we @Juliancoltonpicked a good week to leave. No fears of much winter weather to be missed the 3-10 period.

Snywx is just under 52", a 6-7" difference in annual totals is common between his location and mine. My elevation is only around 400' and being in the Wallkill River valley has its own impacts. What will always sting me a bit about this winter is only getting 6.6" of snow in February.

What's with the no totals for anywhere in Orange County?

Some of these seem pretty far off, on the plus and minus side. @The 4 Seasonsmaps blow this away.

It's the CoCoRaHS map. That total almost due north of me in Ulster is damn close to my total. I've thought about it sometimes but clearly never joined, you ever think about it? I know you are really passionate about snowfall records. Are you from Manhattan orignally?  @The 4 Seasonsmaps are the best I've seen.

yeah cocorahs like irishrob said, it leaves out a lot reports that are missing days as well. It also only lets you do 90 days max so you can't include november and when we get into late march and want to include that, you'll be missing a lot of december

Perish the thought. No not a city boy, it's fine for some, but I could never live there, or any city for that matter.

I grew up in Rockland  but as an adult I've lived my entire life in Orange County. The first five years in New Windsor and the last 30+ in Highland Mills.

I never did think of joining. Other than snowfall, days of snow cover and first freezes, first hard freeze, last freeze, sub zero days, I don't really track daily, highs and lows or even rainfall.
